Hey I was wondering, if anyone knows, did the enraged Vegeta do anything significant to Birusu at all? I'm trying to add Battle of Gods to my power levels list so I need to know how powerful Vegeta got.

It's probably from the end of the movie when they learn that Goku had actually been there watching as everyone was getting beaten by Beers. He didn't intervene because he wanted to watch Beers in action, in order to form some kind of strategy. Everyone chews him out for this.

I forgot to comment regarding the clip with Birusu and Uisu discussing Super Saiyan God. Ahhh, Birusu is so cute (for a deadly god of destruction). And the drawings from that book/magazine that show Birusu's different facial expressions make me happy that they played up his cat-like nature. I want to pet hi~~m!

Loving the new promos, even though they only give us the most bare minimum of new stuff to check out. I really, really hope the eventual DVD release (IE the domestic one) includes most if not all of these promos and trailers on it as a bonus. I love having these kind of stuff available on the official product.

I know DB's always been awkward with the powers, but that's a strange choice. I think it's because they wanted to market the SSJ Goku vs. Birus scenes, since SSJ Goku is Goku's most iconic form.

Also ssjg's turned out to be, in my opinion, surprisingly cute in relation to all of Goku's other power-ups. I really like it, but I can see how unusual its appearance (at least how it looks when Goku doesn't have his flame aura turned on) could be to others. I think ssjg form having a cool fire aura balances out the cute physical features well though.

I bet a lot of people (me included) were expecting it to look the opposite of what ssjg actually does look like; that is, tremendously bulky with super-long golden hair in a style somewhere between ssj3 and 4.

I actually thought it was going to be what it is, but with pure white hair, but I guess the japanese would see that as more a sign of the dead then godly, and wise? Oh well, at least it's different.

I like that it's different. The "looks weaker, but is actually astoundingly strong" appearance of ssjg reminds me of early DB when Goku was all super-tiny and taking down physically huge opponents. X3

Yeah, I assume they just wanted to show Goku putting up a good fight against Beers in his most famous form. From a more in-universe view, a big part of the final battle is that Goku doesn't quite like Super Saiyan God because he could only reach that level of power with everyone else's help, rather than on his own (it's basically the same as his dislike for fusion). So by "absorbing" that power and becoming able to fight at a level not too far removed from Super Saiyan God all on his own, Goku is able to finally feel contented.

Of course, if he's now not vastly weaker than Super Saiyan God even as a regular Super Saiyan, you'd think that he could turn Super Saiyan 3 and become stronger than Super Saiyan God. But apparently it doesn't work like that. Good luck figuring this one out.

haha, I love Vegeta, and he's my favorite character, but I doubt it, as only Goku, or sometimes Gohan are aloud to do anything significant to the Villians, especially movies, but seeing as this is supposed to be part of the manga, we can hope, but I still doubt it, other then him lasting longer!!

So Goku wants to be able to do it all on his own without any help; I can understand that. It wouldn't be a complete test of his abilities if he's using something that's not actually his own talent.

I wonder if anyone even mentions the magenta hair/red irises or if it's not brought up at all. I know the fact that he's slimmer in this form is mentioned in the movie.

Makes sense. At this point, Goku is almost as familiar with his Super Saiyan form as he is with his normal state, so I guess it's easier for him to tap into the God power using it.
He'll probably need more training to do the same with Super Saiyan 2 and 3 (especially with Super Saiyan 3).
