It's more of a cheat than a mod. Someone created a trainer that runs with the game, that makes you invincible pretty much. Infinite Ki, Stamina, maxed out Attribute Poitns, items, Zeni, "God mode" partner characters... that's dangerous in the wrong hands.

Yeah, I noticed that. It was out within an hour of the game launching. I'd actually kinda hoped your character's stats would be server side so you couldn't cheat like this. That would require always online - though that's not exactly unusual for this type of game.

Met a level 70 within 2 hours of playing. That was daunting. He was terrible, as expected.

Well, I'm probably going to pick this game up soon. To the people that have played it, how does it compare to the other Dragon Ball console games?

Do we know yet if the costume slots only save the actual equipment and skills or if you can change your hairstyle and shit with Shenron and still have old hairstyle details in the alternate costume slots?

I always rep Budokai, Shin or not.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

You know the one thing from the Spike games I miss, on the basic level? Ki blast utility. In a Dimps game, outside of keeping an opponent stunned in the air, if you use a ki blast, you do it for the sake of using a ki blast. In the Spike games? You can combo almost anything into ki blasts and ki blasts into almost anything else, and its really satisfying once you get it down.

I don't really care since "Damn", "Bastard"" and "Hell" are minor but I do notice that they say them more often then the uncut Funimation does. I hope Namco Bandai America didn't add more swearing just to make the game sound more mature and edgy.
So when Funimation dub adds cuss words, there are complaints, but when the Japan dub does the same thing, it's normal? I don't get it. Plus, DBZ isn't Sonic or Mario.
Japanese doesn't have curse words in the same way that English does.
^ That.

The swearing is not the issue- it's that variety is the spice of life, and the Kai dub, and plausible by extension Xenoverse (Haven't finished, cannot judge), sometimes forget that. Not that I would take anything from anyone that feels its too much swearing for what is ultimately a kid's show; Kai's script did not exactly suffer on Nicktoons, after all!

How much depth does the gameplay have vs bt3 and rb2?
Canon is Jaco, Dragon Ball except for EoZ, Dragon Ball Super anime and manga (both are separate canons)

The one thing I hope they improve the most in a sequel is the graphics. This looks extremely bad for next gen. If it weren't HD, it would fit right in the PS2 library. Spike was always much better at graphics and character models.

I've been adding supers onto the end of my melee combos pretty well.

I disagree on Spike having better models, but as for DIMPs graphics overall, I agree. I think the lines for the cel-shading are just too thick, and the shadows/shading are too harsh. Everything needs to be softened. That's one of the reasons I caved and picked up the Steam version. I'm hoping there will be a mod that adjusts the graphics (I heard from somewhere that was possible).

It's better for spacing than Spike games since regular ki blasts are fundamentally the same for everyone and there's no range limit, at least in Budokai.

Btw guys since Amazon screwed me over on the pre-order DLC I managed to find another copy of the game that came with the redeem code.

Any UK people wanna buy the game off me at a reasonable price? It's the PS4 version btw and still sealed.

It seems there's hostility against people who don't use their CaC and people who can do a combo past 20.
Sadly I fall into both categories. I get kicked every time I'm on a winning streak.... :|

But spacing into what, exactly?

This is a PS360 game at 1080p on their younger brothers, it was never set to be a benchmark game. That's not dodging the question, Xenoverse has the same overly shiny and liquid character models as Battle of Z, I would expect better of Dimps- I wonder if Namco gave them Artdink's resources?

Meanwhile I remain "Burst Limit or Bust", with an honorable mention to Ultimate Tenkaichi. It's nuts how many styles the HD DBZ games have gone through.

I feel like RB1 had the more accurate style compared to the anime.

It totally did, and I feel like a doofus for forgetting that. It's almost as if Spike got it so right they felt compelled to stylize to differentiate their games.

Are there in game transformations or can you only select them from the character menu?
