It could be, but there are all those awful speed subs that are up to date too..i'm inclined to believe someone who was bothered by their releases snitched them out. Toei went after bootlegs in the past, but never really cared enough about fansubs to do the dirty work by themselves.

In any case, the fact they don't offer simulcasts but still hunt fansubs, as right as they may be, makes it an incredibly unpopular decision.

Welp. Dragon Ball Super subs are dead. The last /good/ translation group just got cease-and-desisted from Toei.

Well, that's seriously annoying. Not only because Over8000 was doing a great job, but also the fact Toei doesn't offer any legal alternative, and in this day and age no one is willing to wait months or years to watch a show.

That said, i'm sure another group will pop up in its place. And i wonder why they didn't go after DragonTeam?

Perhaps the reason why DT hasn't been uploading could be because they have /already/ been cease-and-desisted.

However, there is an alternative. Not sure if saying the names of groups is against the rules on here, but someone by the name of KenXyro is doing DBS subs, and I watched his and Over8000's Episode 19's almost back-to-back, and they were very similar.

Speaking has someone not watching the subs, you can't say they'd "Rather" view the series illegally if there is no legal option. I'm sure if there was a legal option they'd take it, but there isn't one.

You say I'd "rather". Do you know what "rather" implies? That there's another alternative. As of now, there is not. You should see my Dragon Ball collection. I own Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Z Kai, at least 5 or 6 times over. I have put so much money into this franchise, it is ridiculous. However, I am not going to go to the extremes, here. I'm not about to move to Japan just to watch a series once a week. That's crazy talk. I would love to pay for a subscription fee or something. But no. There is no other alternative. It's still illegal, technically I suppose, but it's different. It's not like I'm torrenting Avengers on Blu-ray when it's available for purchase in every Walmart or gas station store you drive by down the highway. This is a show that is literally only available on TV in Japan. It's a bit of a different situation here.

But anywho, that's a bit of a tangent. What ticked me off is when you said "I'd rather view the series through illegal means." No, I wouldn't. I would MUCH rather buy the series on Blu-ray and watch it on my 55" HDTV. That's how "rather" is used; when there's actually an alternative. But there isn't.

Again, this is not the place to discuss how you illegally watch the series. Particularly with C&Ds going out, I'd highly recommend you keep your distribution/acquisition/names/locations/etc. to yourselves. I'm not in the business of fighting off Toei's legal department. Once was enough. The end. Over. Done.

We established in a prior post made not one hour ago that it was entirely possible to simply do without. That is your alternative. Nobody's going to stone you for watching fan subs but acting like it isn't wrong to explicitly mention it on someone else's private property when they have made it clear in the rules you agreed to prior to registration that mention of such acts is not allowed is a pretty not-good thing to do.

Lmao. Geez dude. You act like you've known me for years. I never said I didn't think watching fansubs was wrong. I told you that I would much rather buy the Blu-ray. But this is 2015. Toei is dumb. People are going to watch what they want to, and if you don't give it to them through legal means, unfortunately, people in this day and age will just do what they want and watch it illegally. It's just a fact of life these days.
