Are they sort of implementing Dokkan Battle and Heroes in Xenoverse 2? That sounds cool.
If they added an option to connect Dokkan Battle to XV2 it would be great, it could attract them more money and I bet many people would like to play with their Dokkan Battle cards in XV2 and see their characters in 3D, and play the events/quest on console.
Now if they release a Xenoverse 3 game with graphics more like the anime similar to FighterZ, improved gameplay and storymode and everything else and all these new features implemented, it could be the best Dragon Ball game ever. Support for Heroes and Dokkan Battle could be dope and it would make Bandai Namco a ton of money. This franchise is a huge cash cow right now so I hope they will milk it good by releasing good games. These free updates are a step in the right direction for all the customization and new gameplay opportunities they are offering.

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
So has anyone else encountered a weird glitch with the new characters? I'm testing them out in practice mode first just to mess around with them, and for some reason, Android 17 (DB Super)'s moves are greyed out. I can't use him other than for basic attacks. I then go in to check out Jiren, no problems like that there, but then after using his Ultimate once, it became greyed out too. Backed out and re-chose him, and it's greyed out from the start that time. Fu had no issues at all, and neither does UI Goku so far, but it's still weird. Really hope if that is a glitch, it can get fixed and hope to god it's only in practice mode too.
Just tested 17 out in a PQ too and yup, moves are still unable to be used. Same with Jiren and his ultimate.

Huh...just tried that, and that's...bizarre. I hope to god that's some kind of glitch they'll patch and not the way the character's meant to function, cuz if not, that's...that's stupid. Not able to use any of the skills till he's half dead? Seriously?Gt91 wrote:I don't know if it's a bug but look here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mDhZGZgbq4

Figured out (or rather my fiance did) Jiren's issue too - you have to fully use 'Meditate' first (as in hold the buttons down, don't just trigger it and be done - you've got to get his body glowing when the meditation is over), THEN you can use his Ultimate. That I'm a little more inclined to be okay with, but 17's 'quirk' is just...wow.

I'm a bit disappointed that if you select Videl and Gohan as your partner, you're stuck with just Gohan.

From what I was reading on the DBXV sub, 17's moves activate when his health is at 75% or less and to use Jiren's ultimate you have to use Meditation first and I think have full ki.Gyt Kaliba wrote:So has anyone else encountered a weird glitch with the new characters? Maybe I haven't got the hold of it just yet, but I was hoping more of Jiren, he has that useless generic ultimate attack and still don't know how to unlock the other ultimate

Jiren seems to have suffered the same fate as Hit did when he was first introduced into the game. His moveset was a total joke.Koitsukai wrote:Maybe I haven't got the hold of it just yet, but I was hoping more of Jiren, he has that useless generic ultimate attack and still don't know how to unlock the other ultimate
fingers crossed we get a Jiren (Full Power) in a later update or a revamped moveset in a future game.

You unlock Power Rush by doing a full length meditation, I think.Koitsukai wrote:Maybe I haven't got the hold of it just yet, but I was hoping more of Jiren, he has that useless generic ultimate attack and still don't know how to unlock the other ultimate

The HC last two free battles are fucking bullshit.
They always land 300 multipliers, have over levelled master figures, over levelled figures, the best kinds of figures AND have hax buff items you can't get. Absolute piss take. I'm still so mad. Any tips?

I'm guessing you unlock the Tokipedia thing to re-do the missions with different mentors and get slightly different results and stuff after you beat the new content all the way through the first time? Cuz so far going to the rift just does the 'preserve' history, and Fu does the 'changing' one, with no choices on what different mentors to try and bring along, or the ability to replay them.

So how long is this Infinite History story?
Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
Yes, after finishing the story mode you talk to Fuu and he unlocks the Tokipedia. After that, he gives you the option to redo the story from the beginning to unlock different paths. If you chose the rift you save time and unlock the left path, if you chose Fuu he unlocks the right path. Doing the missions from the rift/Fuu, the partner assigned to you is the current mentor you have. However, once you unlock both paths you can redo all missions from the Tokipedia and it allows you to chose your partner at the beginning of each mission. There are different things happening depending on the partner. The greyed out portraits are the big changes, while there are also small interactions with some of the others, which count to 100% the rift. However, 100%ing a rift doesn't mean the other mentors don't have any interactions. There are some hidden ones, but they don't affect the actual story.Gyt Kaliba wrote:I'm guessing you unlock the Tokipedia thing to re-do the missions with different mentors and get slightly different results and stuff after you beat the new content all the way through the first time? Doing the story once, with only one mentor for everything is a bit under two hours, cutscenes included. Doing it for both paths (changing and saving history) with all the required mentors is, well... A lot more.Bullza wrote:So how long is this Infinite History story?

So if I was just to buy Extra Pack 2, I would still be able to see the other DLC characters and fight against them? Would I be able to play on the stages that came with that DLC?
Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
Without spoilers can someone tell me HOW to access that second timeline? I did everything in the first mission, and I still can't go to the second timeline in Tokipedia.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

After the first mission, you have the option to talk to either Fuu or go to the time rift. Go to Fuu to change History, go to the Rift to keep History on track.dbzfan7 wrote:Without spoilers can someone tell me HOW to access that second timeline? Another question though - I noticed that there are actually nine new moves to get with this DLC, not 8. Four of them seem to be gotten from the new PQ's (1) Rough Ranger; 2) Power Impact; 3) Meditation; 4) Power Rush), and a 5th one is a new Dual Ultimate that seems to be a 'DUAL Remote Serious Bomb' based on it's description, so I'm assuming it's one with Fu that you only unlock after beating the story or 100%-ing his route or something. That still leaves four other skills, and they don't seem to be in the skill shop or the TP shop. Do they get added to one of those only after you beat the new story? Or is it one of the things that will only cycle in and out of the TP shop?
Also, is the collaboration thing where you get Android 21's clothes a thing yet? If so, where do you go to get those?
