Maybe a top 5 bromances list should be written so we can settle this stupid "gay or friends" conversation. For Dende's sake, the only openly gay character I've seen in DB series is general blue and he's awesome.

I dunno, Zarbon is pretty open.

And Zarbon, totally forgot about Zarbon. He's so flamboyant the screen lits up on fire every episode he appears. But again, he's also very awesome.

Well, Zarbon is very narcissistic, dunno about gay. He reminds me Vega from Street Fighter, he loves himself, and loves beauty, but that doesn't mean he is homosexual.

Sigh... I miss the days when being homosexual meant having sex with other man and not acting queer.

Yeah, I'm in favour of a Top 5 Bromances List.

Personally, I think the only characters I think Toriyama intended to be homosexual were General Blue and Otokosuki from the 28th Tenka'ichi Budokai (the guy who chatted up Trunks). It may be a possibility that Zarbon's gay, but I think he's more narcisstic, rather than gay. I always thought he was something of an asexual. I mean, the only remotely gay-esque things about him is his appearance and his speech before transforming.

Go Go Ackman 3, best game in the series. I always wished the games were in English because I was kind of interested in why Ackman and Blonde Angel Kid went from enemies in the original to sort of friends by the third.

General Blue isn't gay! He's just looking for his brother Samuel, and thinks he'll find him in other men's pants.

Well I mean it was kind of explained in the cut scenes that they were working together to escape prison and outrun the...very gay police. A very good game for sure.

He was having sex with Ghurd on the side.

I say what, what?

I hope that someone gets that reference. :P

So flamboyant, I actually thought he was a woman for a moment in the manga. You know those lesbian gym teachers that are portrayed on some comedies? Yeah, like that: Muscular, masculine, and still a little bit flamboyant.
I blame his clothing (with those socks that women wore when they worked out in the 80's), and his ridiculously feminine hair.

Just because I'm not friends/drinking buddies with him, doesn't mean I can't call him by his first name.

Wondering if it would of been a completely different show if they added the back story relationships of Goku/Chichi, Vegeta/Bulma, Gohan/Videl, ect .... especially as filler. It would of probably turned out as one of those sexy japanese high school shows, taking in mind the way they portray love and sexuality through anime.

Yeah it's actually considered really disrespectful though. I wouldn't go to your parents house and call them by their first names unless directed otherwise. Of course I'm pretty sure you'll fight against this point and I really don't feel like arguing with someone about basic manners so whatever. Do what you like.

Basic American manners. Well, a couple of other countries too.
Keep in thought that there are people on this board coming from countries where you are still polite if you use someone's first name.
Myself, I use his last name in fear of being lynched by some users that want to teach me some manners.
Or are we supposed to use American mannerisms too on this board, even though we are not American? Seriously, I have wondered that for a while, because sometimes some "Akira" are changed into "Toriyama" mysteriously. :P

It's basic manners in pretty much all English speaking countries and Japan. I'm pretty sure Piccolo (the user) falls into one of those groups. You're referring to a person that lives in Japan therefore I think it's proper to use Japanese manners. EX pretty much wants us to do this so why not? Is it really hard to type out "Toriyama"? Is it really awful to expect people to use common English manners on an English speaking forum? Much like how we expect people to use proper English spelling and grammar.

I'm not saying "well screw your customs" just when in Rome y'know?
