Well, that's actually part of his body. It is of the same color of the head.
You sure, because Freeza and Cold had these speedos on, and Freeza got naked in his final form.
Yeah but i always took those speedos as being part of their bodies, you don't see them get torn or taken out, so I just assumed they're part of their bodies. Kind of like Buu's trousers.

So no one has at least translate it yet? It's almost a month out, while daily mangas like Naruto are scanlated in a day! I wish I knew Japanese...

TripleRach has a pretty detailed summary on her site.

I was making a translation, but various real life stuff got in the way. I might be able to finish it up now though.

Are you just doing a translation, or will you guys be doing a scanlation similar to Ooishi's manga version of the Jump SAT special?

Anyway, can a mod just go ahead and change the topic title of this to "Episode of Bardock Discussion" or something? lol We're reaching the same time frame from last month where the first chapter began to leak, so I figure it might be good to just keep all the discussion in the already established topic and then give it a title that can attract those who didn't visit it the first time around...

Waaaaah, not again, not again!!!! It's boring and unoriginal as SSJ12 Vegeta and I really don't like Super-deformed style. Eeeeeeeee

Even Bardock reaching Ssj3 and beating crap out of Buu won't satisfy me...... even less in SD style.
I will enjoy SD style comic where Son Goku will be crashing coconuts by his head in competition with Vegeta.

Uhh... this Bardock story is done in a traditional style. It also features brand new characters. It isn't a Dragon Ball SD chapter.

I don't feel like reading summaries... I want to read the manga itself, read the dialogs, see and understand the situation not just see the whole chapter and say "wow nice pictures, now time to understand what hapened". Spoillers are just not my style

Anyway, glad that I finaly hear that translation is been made :D

OK, I finally finished up my translation. It's maybe a little looser at points than some of my previous translations, because I wanted to make it sound as good in English as possible. Not sure how well that really worked out, but whatever. Going along with that, honorifics are left out or translated. Sound effects and noises people make are just left as-is those, because...well, just because. I haven't included background sound effects and whatnot in this out of laziness, and only include sound effects inside balloons, so that people won't mistake those balloons for speech. These are marked SFX. [r] and [l] indicate breaks between right and left word balloons; same idea wit [1] [2] [3]. The page numbers are those of the actual V-Jump issue. Amusingly, there was another data point for the whole "aliens count as 'human' in DB" thing here: Ipana says that Bardock doesn't look like a human (ningen) from Planet Plant. But I didn't use "human" in my translation because it sounded pretty awkward.

Page 27
Narrator: [r] On Planet Vegeta, the Saiyans were under attack... [l] Why? Because of Freeza, their supposed boss...

Page 28
Bardock: Tha...that bastard...!!
Bardock: [1] Freeza!! [2] Come on out here!! [3] Freeza!!
Freeza: Hu-hun...
Freeza: [1] Why, you're Bardock, aren't you? [2] How impolite. You really must call me “Lord Freeza”, you know... [3] At any rate, what is it you want?

Page 29
Bardock: [r] Why?!! Why are you attacking us?!! [l] We're allies, aren't we...?!!
Zarbon: “Allies”? Fufufufu...!
Dodoria: [t] You damn fool. You guys were just being used all along.
Freeza: [r] You Saiyans are starting to become an eyesore, so I'm thinking that it's high time you all disappeared. [l] Right along with Planet Vegeta.

Page 30
Bardock: [r] Wha...what...?! [l] Wh...why you~~...!!
Bardock: You won't get away with this---!!!

Page 31
Bardock: Wha...!!
Freeza: [r] ...And think of how annoying it would be if on the off chance some so-called “Super Saiyan” appeared, like in that ridiculous legend...
SFX: ZUH
Bardock: UWAAaa......

Page 32
Bardock: [r] Guh... [l] Freeza...!
SFX: ZUKIH
Bardock: Uh...! Kukuh...
Bardock: I...I could have sworn that I was caught in Planet Vegeta's explosion...
Bardock: [r] This landscape...and the color of the sky...[l] Something about it looks like Planet Vegeta...Where am I...?
SFX: ZAH...

Page 33
Ipana: So you're finally awake
Narrator box: [r] Beri [l] Ipana
Ipana: [r] You don't have to be so tense...[l] I'm Ipana, the village doctor.
Ipana: And this is my son...
Ipana: Huh?
Ipana: He's terribly shy...Though normally he's not so quiet...
Bardock: [r] Who are these people...!? [l] I've never seen this race before...
Ipana: [r] Here, let me see your injuries [l] This is some of the village's secret medicine.

Page 34
Bardock: [r] The pain from my injuries is fading away...This liquid...[l] It looks just like the liquid from the Medical Machine...
Ipana: [r] With injuries as bad as yours, even using this medicine...[l] it will still probably take half a month for you to make a complete recovery.
Ipana: [r] When I found you collapsed on the outskirts of the forest... [l] I dragged you all the way back here. It was quite a chore!
Ipana: You're not from Planet Plant, are you? You certainly don't look like anyone from around here...
Bardock: [r] Planet Plant...That's supposed to have been Planet Vegeta's original name...[l] What the hell is going on....? This can't be the past...can it?
Ipana: ...Well, whatever. At any rate, you'll just have to lay low until your injuries heal. [r] By the way, what's your name?
Bardock: ...Bardock.
Ipana: Here, eat this...
SFX: Yura...

Page 35
Ipana: Huh? What's that noise?...
Ipana: [r] Looks like it came down near the village. [l] We don't get spaceships very often around here...
Bardock: [r] That spaceship...[l] Don't tell me it's...
Ipana: Hey! You're still in no condition to move around...!
SFX: BAH
Ipana: Bardock!

Page 36
Tobi: Kekeke...I can't believe Lord Chilled has his eyes on such a pathetic planet!
Tobi: Hey, listen up! Starting today, we're the new rulers of Planet Plant!
Narrator box: [r] Tobi [l] Cavira
Tobi: [r] And we'll kill anyone who tries to defy us! [l] Keeh kekkekke!
SFX: ZAH
Tobi: Hm?
Cavira: He's different than the others.
Tobi: What is it? You got something to say?
Bardock: [r] Cheh...[l] They don't look like Freeza's underlings...

Page 37
Tobi: He's a damn fool for opposing us...Kill him! He'll make a nice example for the others!
Cavira: Just leave it to me
SFX: PAH
Tobi: What the-!

Tobi: You bastard!

Tobi: [r] Wa...[l] Wait...!
Bardock: Cheh...So much for my rehabilitation.

Page 39
Plantians: [r] We...We're saved! [l] You're our savior!
Mayor: As mayor of this village, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for protecting it.
Bardock: [r] It's not like I meant to save you or anything. [l] It makes no difference to me whether you people live or die.

Page 40
SFX: TAH
Bardock: [r] … [l] I guess I'll camp here for the time being...
Bardock: [r] Fuh... [l] Where the hell is this place...?
Bardock: I was supposed to be fighting with Freeza...
Bardock: [1] Damn it... [2] No matter how I try, I can't remember anything after being enveloped in that explosion...[3] What the hell happened to me...

Page 41
Bardock: Kuh...
Bardock: Who's there?!
Beri: [r] Ah...[l] Um...
Bardock: [r] Hey, it's you...[l] You were in that “Ipana” guy's house...
Beri: [r] I'm...I'm Beri! My daddy...[l] He told me to give these to you...
Bardock: I don't need 'em. Go on and get lost.
Beri: But...but...

Page 42
Bardock: Shaddup! I'll kill you if you don't beat it!
Beri: Well...well I'll leave these here, at least...!
Bardock: Cheh...
SFX: GU~~~UH
Narrator box: The next day...
SFX: KASAH
Beri: [r] Uh...[l] Um...

Page 43

Bardock: [r] … [l] What a weird little brat...
Narrator: And so, several days later...
Beri: Haah, haah
Beri: Ah...
Beri: Ah...awawa....
SFX: ZUH

Page 44
Chilled: [r] So, it's been 10 days since we lost contact with Tobi and Cavira?...[l] Let's go check out what's happening on Planet Plant one more time.
Totally Not Appule With Horns: [r] It's no use, Lord Chilled. We've completely lost sight of them. [l] We can't figure out where those 2 have gone...!
Chilled: [r] Cheh... [l] Every lousy one of you is a useless fool...
Totally Not Appule With Horns: My...my sincerest apologies! I'll continue searching for them...!
Chilled: [r] That's alright... [l] It's a bit of a pain, but I'll go look for them myself...

Page 45
Chilled: [r] Wonder what happened to them? [l] It's hard to believe that there'd be anyone foolish enough to oppose me...
Chilled: I'm starting to look forward to going to Plant....
Chilled: [r] Looks like it will make a fine plaything...! [l] Kyahahahah!
Chilled: Gyaahhahhahah!
Jargon: Just who is this Chilled, who looks like Freeza...!? And in the next issue, Bardock will finally...!!

Oh, that's just a mistake. Though I had fixed that. In fact, on the theory that his name comes from "caviar", I'll spell it "Cavira".

Some pictures of Episode of Bardock chapter 2, the Dragon Ball Heroes based manga by Naho Ooishi. Only 15 black-and-white pages this time (19 black-and-white + 1 color pages for chapter 1).

Chilled and his followers land on Plant, and start terrorizing the villagers. Beri begs Bardock to help them, and remembering his friends' decimation on Meat, he accepts. There, Bardock get enraged by confusing Chilled with Freeza, and starts fighting with him. But he seems to be powerless...

Won't translate it fully, but Chilled dit not reveal his ties with Freeza (if he ever had). He only introduces himself as "Chilled, the greatest space pirate", while Bardock can't stop screaming "Freeza". I guess all the answers will come in next month final chapter.
