Guys, if you're wondering if your Gamestop store has Tenkaichi in stock, their website has an "in-store availability" feature. Just type in your Zip Code. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but you guys can give it a shot.

Yea, but if you read the stuff at the bottom it says that the information displayed will always be from the night before. So for what it says today is actually the status of the game last night. Not very reliable.

UPDATE: I just called the local Gamestop. The guy said it would be in tomorrow around noon. He also told me it's a good thing I reserved a copy, apparently as of right now they're not going to have any copies to put on the shelves. All of them are going to people who pre-ordered.

Same thing here. My friend and I just got back from driving around. Checked Gamestop, EB, Target, and GameCrazy while calling a few other places. They all get it in tomorrow. :? Well, I waited this long, another day won't kill me. Gives me time to finally stop being lazy and get 100% on Budokai 3, at least..

I hope it's not the same over here. I didn't preorder it. Needless to say nobody has the game in here yet either.

According to the store I pre-ordered it at (GameCrazy,) I'll be able to get my copy at 11am. Which is just what I'll do. 8)

Ack. I get so agitated at times like this. A new game I'm trying to get my hands on is released, but I don't get it on the first day. It just kills me so much inside that it's available, yet not in my hands. Or better yet, in my PS2.

Oh well. I'm still playing X-Men Legends for my first time, so I have that to keep my mind off it for now. Plus like...7 other games I bought last week on a massive impulse, that I haven't touched yet.

I've got a bunch of impulse buy games. Grandia, Battalion Wars, MetalGear Solid... you name it from this gen, or previous gens, and I have it, or am trying to get it. Heh. :)

Question: What the hell is the "Evolution Z" option that each character has?

Evolution Z allows you to customize your character using the capsules/potaras that you earn.

Haha. 'Tis a curse to me, in some ways. I've bought lots of games impulsively. Sometimes, it's cause I see them cheap when I'm not actually looking for them, then I look into it to see if it's good, and end up buying it. But I've never bought SEVEN in a week before.

Thankfully, that should last me a LONG time, so I can try and save my money back up by not buying anything else, while I occupy myself with all of them. :P

I hope to start Budokai Tenkaichi after I finish X-Men. I don't want to start the other games I bought until after. I wouldn't be able to stand not having played it, with all the guys here talking about it, and me not being able to jump in myself.

I don't actually have the game right now though. My brother is kindly buying it for me, but I don't know when.

Dude Leo, you're going to be thrown for a fucking loop when you play Sparking!/Budokai Tenka'ichi, 'cause this game is fucking hard... I swear, I am on normal mode, and I get my ass handed to be in near every battle. It's crazy.

So I've heard (that it's really difficult).

How many difficulties are there, anyway? I'm hoping there's something easier than "Easy", like "Very Easy".

'Cause seriously, having a game too hard to play and have fun with is just a damn shame. I actually pass on really hard games (like Devil May Cry 3 or Prince of Persia : Warrior Within), because I fear I just can't get far enough in it to really enjoy it and get my monies (is that how you spell it??) worth.

There's only 3 difficulty levels; Easy, normal, and hard. But, there IS a very weak. Anyways, I don't think it'll be too hard to play and have fun with; it's just challenging and takes time to get used to. Once you've mastered it, you'll be complaining at how easy the hardest difficulty is.

BTW, it's money's, not monies.

The very weak setting is just for the Dueling mode. Battle Gate mode only has easy, medium and, hard. I've been playing it on easy and it's not too bad, except for the level when Goku has to run out the clock against a transformed Vegeta. It's damn near impossible.

Well, the American way of passing that distinction is "Moneys'", while the non-American way (which could account for most of the world, for all I know,) is "monnies".
Anyway, I know atleast that it's the British way. (Someone needs to block BBC2, I am watching that shit constantly.)

And as far as the difficulty goes. All I know, is that when I started up a Shenron Memory, and throughout the first two stages, I got my ass handed to me like it was a christmas present.

Alrighty. Thanks for the info on the difficulty, guys.
I guess it doesn't matter whether I know or not, since I'm getting it either way. There's no way I WON'T get this game, I'm too hyped about it to turn it down now. :?

But still, just curious.

Heh. And you should be, the game is fun when you can *actually* get used to the controls.

And back to difficulty. I am no light-weight in the fighting games, I can hold my own pretty well in most fighting games, including the Budokai series, between Normal, and Hard mode, but Sparking! just takes it a bit further. "Normal" feels like hard-mode x2, and it's just insane.
In order to actually progress ANYWHERE at all, I *gulp* had to not only change the overall difficulty to easy, but the opponents to "weak", which is totally not cool, since I enjoy a bit of difficulty, but normal (and I even imagine hard,) are fucking insane... I couldn't get anywhere at all.

Ironicly, I did better button mashing than I did trying to get the hang of the controls first time out of the box. But I am getting better.
I managed to get me a nice 99-hit combo, in Warrior Training, which was totally nice.

Yeah, Leo, you should definitely get Sparking/BT, it's definitely worth the money.

Hehe. It's nice to hear from someone who's liking the game. I've been debating with a pal just now, who's been complaining about how the game sucks. He's mostly been saying how there aren't in game transformations, which pisses him off. He even went so far as to say it's almost as bad as Sagas.

Now, I haven't played EITHER game myself to judge, but from what I've heard of Sagas, that's WAY too harsh. I've seen the scores people are giving Sparking, and they've been ranging from 6-10 (most are like 8 or higher). Of course, all reviews are opinions, so I'm not trying to say as a fact that it's a great game, based on scores. But it still must count for SOMETHING that generally, people are liking this game.

His words haven't swayed me from wanting this game the least bit though. No transformations don't bother me. And that was pretty much all he was focusing on.

If you say it's this hard, just imagine if they had brought in Z3 difficulty. I bet you'd all be building a colection of broken controllers in the garbage. :P

Anyway, thanks for the input, lost in thought. :)
