No, they really didn't. One guy said "It's obvious that Buu would win," and the rest of the thread was some stupid Super Buu vs Kid Buu debate and one guy making a decent argument for Kirby.

The rest of the thread was debating on whether Kid Buu's small star feat applies to Fat Buu which it didn't so he gets large planet from Freeza. Then one guy said Kirby is star level not large planet from some feat he later in the thread takes back. Then the last page is whether mach 31k or 23x ftl should be used for dbz. Kirby is at 6x ftl. So it depends on which dbz speed camp you subscribe to.

Death battle however, uses anime DBZ feats so Fat Buu is either large planet (from Freeza) or Large star (if M8 applies to the anime). Anime Kid Buu has a large star feat but it doesn't apply to Fat Buu. Lastly, Anime dbz is mftl because King Kai couldn't keep up with the SSJ Goku and Freeza fight but could keep up with Goku's spaceship that reached Namek, which is in another galaxy, in a couple of days. But we all know death battle sucks with vs matches so they're going to use the dumb gravity formula lol.

In which episodes can I find those star level feats? What exactly is ftl?

Ftl = faster than light. Mftl = massively faster than light aka >=100x ftl. There's 2 large star feats: movie 8 Broly's galaxy "destruction" (all the lights of the galaxy dissapeared so he destroyed most of the stars) and Kid Buu's galaxy "destruction" (same reasoning).

We are told in movie 8 that Broly has been destroying South Galaxy for several years and we see the ruined planets though he erased one in his final form. We are also told by Kaioshin that Boo has destroyed hundreds of planets in a few years, thus accomplishing a better feat than Broly (concerning time).

They don't destroy galaxies in one blow like those scenes suggest. They destroy one planet at a time and Broly does it in his final form.

I mean, we did see how Broly destroyed planet Shamu in his final form and presumably even so he wouldn't survive a collision of New Vegeta with a giant comet. Still in his previous form he only ruins the planets without erasing them, but leaving a trace of his ki.

Me neither, but Paragus was saved by this technique. Despite that, he said Broly wouldn't survive the comet. Though he could have tried it if he wasn't badly injured by Goku. At least, we know the ki barrier can't protect Broly from the Sun.

Plenty of people stay far, far away from versus debates in this series. Eventually it gets to the point where they are more annoying than fun.
