I thought it was a funny little one-off joke. I think we're reading too much into it.

Maybe Gokû'll receive his own senzu-kiss after Hit almost kills him next week. Presuming it's an almost-kill.

Please no, mom bird kiss is disgusting. He could never want to kiss again. :)

I'll just take this joke as Goku and Vegeta misunderstanding each other. I don't care if Toriyama himself says in a interview that Goku is supposed to be his 12 years old self (and what's worst without his sweet side), I'll reject canon if that's the case.

I take it as a plot point written by an author (who doesn't remember much of his series) with the intent of making his character more kid-friendly. Part of how Goku changed was him getting love, but once again in Super, we have character regression.
