Didn't Trunks and Goten seem older than their BoG versions? Goten seemed like Detective Conan while in Daima he seemed like a pre-teen.

Possibly, but at the same time we've seen then in the same basic outfit for a decade and aren't used to them wearing anything else! If this is intentional though then I honestly appreciate it. Dragon Ball was famous for again its characters 35 years ago!

Yeah! I also noted back in Episode 15 that King Kadan's crew were already missing their Collars! I attribute that to Kaioshin teaching them the spell over the phone, which I honestly would have preferred to see over the Gendarmerie Force because that's far more character-driven.

The hilarious side-effect of this new lore chronology is that humans "first started to walk on Earth" barely over a thousand years ago

Kaioshin: “Long ago, about when humanity on Earth had just begun to walk on 2 legs…In the depths of space, there was an extremely evil wizard called “Bibidi”…One day, by chance Bibidi happened to create a terrible monster…An extraordinarily terrifying majin called “Boo”…Majin Boo had neither reason nor emotions, and devoted himself to nothing but destruction and slaughter…A monster born only to inspire fear in living things…In just a few years, hundreds of planets were transformed into dead worlds…”

Daima sets the timeline for Boo's creation to about a thousand years ago or so, since that's when Shin and Degesu last saw each other, presumably when the former left the demon realm.

Personally I don't see Boo's rampage and the departure of the Glind as immediate, necessarily. There was another major factor in the Glind's departure, that being Abura's reign, and I feel the whole "visitors from the First and Third Worlds" to be a likely third. This is good stuff though and I wish I could have included it in the timeline!
