Hmm. I didn't know he was on facebook, but this caused me to seek him out. I found Kendamu's post, and it was... quite saddening to see some of those responses. "Lulz, I don't care if every aspect of the show and every pronounciation is different from Dragon Ball. As long as it's in English, I could care less. What the hell is all this Japanese doing in my Japanese cartoon anyway?!"
Do you follow the most comprehensive and entertaining Dragon Ball analysis series on YouTube? If you do, you're smart and awesome and fairly attractive. If not, see what all the fuss is about without even having to leave Kanzenshuu:

Haha. I remember reading that one. "Frightening" would be the word of choice.

I think the new dub will be closer to what many of us, here, want. However, I just don't see it being perfect. For instance, they may have fixed Kaio-ken, but I highly doubt they've fixed the pronunciation of Saiyan. Anywho, I have to say that I'm quite happy with the few changes that they have made. It's a step in the right direction, for sure.

They haven't.

Glad to have confirmation that they fixed the Kaiô-ken pronounciation.

I'm honestly not surprised. I mean with minor names like the "Kaiohken" and the "Kienzan" it doesn't matter but the word "Saiyan" is used in pretty much every episode.

I still think Patrick Warburton would've been a better choice for Nappa. He is my dream Nappa.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

MasakoX is one of my favorite Goku voice actors ever! I wish he could do it for real on Kai or something. He's way up there with Peter Kelamis and Masako Nozawa for me.
(Anyways, I enjoy your Sparking Turtle blog. I took Karate for five years. It's good to see a fellow martial artist.)
Thanks! Sorry I don't update it enough. I do have that Twitter stream on the front page, though. I'm training for a tournament right now. I'll write soon so you know how it goes.

This mindset is pretty much why I can firmly hold onto my point: Fix the dub, because some care if it's presented properly or not, and others don't care either way.

Eh, Kaio-Sama's dub voice isn't my FAVORITE, but I somehow or another can deal with it. It's Freeza and (yes, you're right I was misthinking) #19 that have voices that outright make my skin crawl.

Kaio's appearance screams out blue talking cat-fish with a lisp. But Freeza doesn't scream out chain smoking granny with a certain fondness of men. Makes sense to me!
