Episode of Bardock: Giant On-Going Manga + Anime Discussion
Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
It would be cool if Freeza and Chilled weren't related and he was just another Frost Demon. (if someone already mentioned that they are in fact not related, then sorry. I haven't been keeping up with this whole "DB: Heroes" thing)
Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
Well, on this page here in the DB Heroes topic, Saimaroimaru, and later HECTOR4 posted scans of what looks to be the Cold family tree. In that family tree, you can see that Chilled is there, but he's not connected to anyone, so we don't really know his relation/role to the family yet.Scarz wrote:It would be cool if Freeza and Chilled weren't related and he was just another Frost Demon. Are there any scanlations for the first part?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Spanish and French I believe. I started and English one using Herms' translation, but quickly got bored by page 4, and I have absolutely no incentive to start doing it again.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Are there any scanlations for the first part?

Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
Considering this is NEW DragonBall Material, I'm down-right shocked that this hasn't gotten a Scanslation yet.
Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
Kinda weird that Dragon Ball SD got scanlated so fast, yet this is nowhere to be found. I can only look at the pretty pictures in my V-Jump so many times
Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
I just read a version of this scanlated in French, and I gotta say this manga volume wasn't half bad, not as good as original Toriyama material, but it did feel like Dragonball and especially how Bardock would've acted, which is good.
Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
Hi, where can i find the French and Spanish Scanlations?
Thank´s.
Thank´s.
Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
I'm doing english and portuguese scanlations. Should be ready today or tomorrow.
Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
If you guys want to read it so badly, why don't you just follow along with Herms' translation? Is it really such a hassle?
If you're not here soon... GET ON!

Isn't it much better to read scanlations?AgitoZ wrote:If you guys want to read it so badly, why don't you just follow along with Herms' translation? Is it really such a hassle?

Sure its better to have the words in the actual bubbles since it is a manga after all, but I had no trouble just following along when Herms first posted the translations. To me, it wasn't really any different that reading subtitles for the anime, except this time the pictures were still there till I was done with them. lol

I already read it, but it is just annoying and confusing. I just can't enjoy itAgitoZ wrote:If you guys want to read it so badly, why don't you just follow along with Herms' translation? Is it really such a hassle?

No, he's supposedly thinking about how Dodoria and his team slaughtered his own team on planet Meat... notice Selypa's corpse in the middle of the image? I admit Ooishi could have drawn that better, she has a ponytail. Bad Ooishi! xDLuke Groundwalker wrote:Is he thinking about Freeza destroying Planet Vegeta here?
BTW, full scans of the second chapter should be up Tuesday or Wednesday according to the source who released the last one...

Weird...I wonder if Ooshi changed the designs to stick to some type of separate manga canon. I kind of figured that might've been it though.

Well, doesn't look like we get any new information on anything, or that much really happens besides Bardock and Chilled starting to fight.Luke Groundwalker wrote:Found some clearer pics: http://blog.livedoor.jp/abacabu/archives/50841341.html

Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
Yeah for a three-part manga this is very underwhelming in pacing.
Then again this was made entirely for an arcade game solely made to sell Dragonball merchandise to kids
