Here's the sneak peek

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9BEp68f774

It has Mark Menza
We're getting the lost episodes
It's most likely the same version that aired on Toonami

Disappointment out the ass, but expected.

And gosh, those times where GT's animation makes Z's looks pale in comparision. I just love the way GT looked.

Z's animation pales in comparison? Nice joke.

I'm not going to act like GT was better than Z overall, but I'm unbiased enough to admit that there were times where GT's animation and overall art direction looked better than Z's.

I will not be surprised if those kids that are watching Kai right now, either love GT just as much or way way more then Kai. At least some of these kids actually know whats going on but just goes to show Nickelodeon is still crap after all these years.

I don't know. At times, GT's colors literally made me feel nauseous. As for the drawings themselves, GT did have some shining moments, but I think Z on it's best day did better than GT on it's best day.

Over all, I'd say the only episodes of either that tended to look bad, more so during the Artificial Humans arc and beyond were the ones animated by Uchiyama/Last House. Otherwise GT had the same rotation as Dragon Ball Z, minus Masunaga/Studio Cockpit and plus Koizumi Noboru's team.

Well, Ide Takeo's team too. :P

That particular shot was, iirc, used in Step into the Grand Tour. Add that to it being the very first one and it increases the likeliness of them using it even further.

Ugh, Mark Menza music. Guess I won't be watching this for nostalgia factor.

I might watch it once or twice if they leave in the Japanese OP/ED songs.

I know their redub a while back was dual-soundtrack option. How difficult would it be if Funimation decided, "you know what? Let's be honest- Mark Menza is freaking horrible by all standards, Faulconer is essentially Mozart compared to this guy. Let's just go with GT's original music instead."
Sean Schemmel is THE MAN! :)

Me- "Also, before anyone mentions it, Schemmel's interview was from nearly 15 years ago. He paid a brief visit to Kanzenshuu's forums a few years back and earned legendary respect that cancels out anything he said from that long ago. :D"

My guess is that they are being lazy about it.

It's not lazy. They already have edited masters on hand, and in order to make edited masters with the original music, they would have to go back and re-edit everything. If they already have edited footage, why would they go back and re-edit 64 episodes when they would just be making the same edits that have already been made? For a soundtrack change, and only for the version being shown on Nicktoons? That's not really financially justifiable. It has nothing to do with being lazy. The people who don't like Menza's music--which includes me--can simply buy the uncut DVDs if they want the option of hearing the English dub with Tokunaga's music.
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."

Opinion, not fact. Honestly, there are a few Faulconer moments I don't dislike, but at least I can watch GT with the Menza score, it may be boring but it doesn't constantly change into an extreme clash of styles whenever a different character appears on screen. I would never intentionally watch DBZ with the Faulconer score. I'd watch DBZ with the AB Groupe score before I'd ever choose Faulconer again.

I'd find it so ironic and hypocritical if GT airing on Nicktoons actually makes more people like GT.

During last night's episode of Dragon Ball Z Kai they showed a code that when typed in on the Nicktoons website revealed a clip of GT. And it's Menza's music being used.

To see go to http://nicktoons.com/dragonball , click on the "enter code" banner and use the code "RAGE" to watch.

*Bangs head on desk*

F***ing Mark Menza music!
