Exactly he'd be a great Kaio. Beggars can't be choosers I guess.
Also I knew the reason Kyle was narrator was because it'd be pointless bringing Doc over for a couple lines when Kyle was already there for Gohan and OxKing.
Still gutted that Laura Bailey essentially had to bow out as Kid Trunks due to being too busy and to prevent her from straining her voice. Becoming a highly demanded VA can be very rough. I'm happy that Meredith McCoy is back as 18. I missed her.

Apart from Meredith McCoy and Doc Morgan the cast list is pretty much what I expected. I thought they would use Colleen Clinkenbeard for 18 to have consistency with Kai, and seen as how the Funimation dub for each series had a different narrator I thought it would be the same here, although I can't complain with Morgan as he's been the best narrator the series has ever had in English in my opinion.

If FUNi choosing to use an almost identical clip to Bang Zoom isn't proof that they're sour about this whole deal, I don't know what is. Hell, with the out of the blue reveal of this clip as well as the cast list, I bet the only reason we got those at all is because of the earlier Toonami Asia announcement.

Chris told me Meredith wasn't in Texas at the time when Kai was being recorded, so Colleen filled in.
Doc Morgan has a magical story telling voice, so happy he's back.

I don't think the fact that FUNimation as using the exact same clip from the first episode as Bang Zoom did to advertise their English dub of the show means anything. My guess is that Toei are very selective about what they can advertise so not to give away too much of the plot to the western audience. Remember, they are still millions of potential fans worldwide that don't know about Dragon Ball Super's existence. If Toei and Bandai wanna sell the show internationally, they have to do it wisely.

Another new clip from Funimation with Goku on Kaio's (King Kai's) planet.

Super psyched to see the majority of the cast back, not to mention Doc Morgan as the narrator! We're officially out of the 'different series, different narrator' era then? Nice!
That said though, I'm devastated to see Bailey has been replaced as Kid Trunks. She's one of my favorite VA's (though her Trunks isn't my favorite role), so to see her bowing out of Dragon Ball is really sad to see. Surprised to see McCoy and Jackson back too, now I'm wondering if they even bothered to keep Clinkenbeard and...uh, other Oolong whose name is escaping me at the moment, for Boo Kai stuff. Will Kai be even more inconsistent?

Another new clip from Funimation with Goku on Kaio's (King Kai's) planet.
Accepted Kaio but Goku sounds great as expected!
Agreed, Kaio sounds serviceable as always but Goku is amazing. Now if that scene had Doc Morgan doing Kaio it would have been perfect.

Its Bryan Massey. And They probably brought them back for consistency only because McCoy and Jackson weren't available during Kai

The best way to fix the giant cancer that is the DB Wiki is to provide an alternative for those who really want it. Even those who prefer dub names will wind up looking things up on the Kanzenshuu Wiki. Because sooner or later, they're going to need information they know they can trust.

Woo, I can't believe it. I was kind of not looking forward to going through the whole series again after watching it subbed, but these two simple clips have made me so pumped for it! Just hearing everyone in their old roles but doing something actually new instead of retreading Frieza, Bell, and Buu for the umpteenth time--I love it.
I'm disappointed Laura Bailey won't be coming back but it's understandable, both due to strain and being in California instead of Texas. Alexis Tipton has already been half of Gotenks before right? She'll be a fine Trunks I'm sure.

Brad Jackson. The same one as in DB, DBZ, and GT

That's him, yeah! Thanks, I was drawing a blank. I really liked his Ladd in Baccano, but for Oolong...eh, they're both about the same for me voice wise, though Jackson acts it better IMO. Mostly I'd just want them both to at least finish Kai out, even though that's going to stand out all the more from everything else now.
