Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
The cyborgs don't have ki, they just have built in weapons that they can control. His ki should not just add on top of that, and should become completely irrelevant next to his android power. So while technically he would also have his natural power, it wouldn't actually mean anything.

Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Actually, everything living has Ki. And #17 and #18 are mostly biological living beings. So they should have Ki actually.RandomGuy96 wrote:The cyborgs don't have ki, they just have built in weapons that they can control. There's nothing explaining how exactly that works. All we know is that their Ki can't be sensed, but that can be explained without assuming that they don't have Ki. Perhaps it just can't be sensed because the artificial power is too intimately linked with their natural Ki, which masks their natural Ki and prevents it from being detected. If that is the case, there's nothing preventing android Yamcha from being able to use his natural Ki together with his artificial power.
Also, we have no idea how great this Yamcha's natural Ki is, there's nothing to suggest that its exactly the same as the Yamcha we know.

Off-topic, but do you know what would have been a cool universe? One where Janemba won. Imagine that special; there is no wall between life and the afterlife, Hell is a giant sugarland full of jelly beans, the god is a reality warping demon with the mind of a 2 year old...
Not to mention, Janemba's awesome and has interesting powers. He should've taken Bujin's place (what a worthless competitor) and beat Fat Buu, South Kaioshin, and Uub. And you can just throw in any villain you want into the tournament by saying they come from Janemba's universe.

Problem is, Janenba is uncontrollable, like Pure Boo, which is why neither of them are included.RandomGuy96 wrote:Off-topic, but do you know what would have been a cool universe? James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Probably not a good idea for a number of reasons, but a universe where Gohan caught the potara earring would be cool. It's impossible to know just what affect this "rivalry bonus" has, but he could probably put Vegetto and Buu in their place. He could potentially be an interesting character too, Gohan's anger + Goku's saiyan pride...
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse

I got a good chuckle after reading the last panel. Also, not digging the first panel, the characters look a little too stiff.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Of COURSE all of U16 survives.
Huh, Zen Buu's still being somewhat polite at least. Is he going to absorb Fat Buu too? How would that even work, absorbing himself...?
Okay, so add Dabura's stone spit to the list of techniques Buu has that can kill even SS3 Vegetto in one hit.
1. Transmutation Beam
2. Kienzan
3. Absorption
4. Kikoho
5. Ultra Armor Blade
6. Stone Spit
7. Mafuba (?)
8. Sealing Spell
Am I missing anything?

That top panel looks terrible. The second panel is kind of humorous, I'll give it that.

I don't know what Zen Buu's bragging about. Fat Buu's method of shutting Babidi up worked out pretty well, in my opinion.

But Fat Buu didn't absorb him. Now Zen Buu has the Sealing Spell and an incredibly disproportionately powerful barrier that should be able to tank everything in the tournament, if it scales with the user's power. Also, Dabura's Stone Spit and Fire Breath.
Well, there goes any chance of Babidi saving the day.

Until Vegetto goes inside, frees Babidi, and Babidi seals him. Calling it now.RandomGuy96 wrote:But Fat Buu didn't absorb him. That's U18. I kinda like how it shows them all working together as opposed to the other universes scrambling around.RandomGuy96 wrote:Of COURSE all of U16 survives.

No, it's clearly U16. Pan is still alive there and Bra isn't going Super Saiyan.
EDIT: Ah, U18 is the main one. That's the one I meant.

It's horribly out of character. Since when do the manga characters, GASP, work together? They've got a Goku for that. I mean, even Uub and Piccolo are helping out! What's up with that?AquaTeamV3 wrote:That's U18. Keep in mind that U18 isn't exactly the manga universe. Some movies happened in U18.

I like how U18 is working together here. But I find it odd how the main universe is barely focused on at all.
