Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
Lets say that Funimation will be dubbing this movie, Will the voice acting be like Kai? because the acting in Kai is much different than their original dub. not saying that the acting in Kai is bad, but just curious about you folk's thoughts.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
Will FUNimation, in 2012-2013, dub a huge property legitimately with an accurate script and with every effort in their body, or will they do it as an amateur studio with zero in-house experience by the seat of their pants with no regard for the audience and their own integrity?
I don't see an issue here. There should be no worries.

Thanks for your input VegettoEX. I have no doubt Funimation will give it their all for this new movie.

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
No title has been announced yet. The movie's tagline is saikyou, shidou, literally "the strongest, start up", and translated on the movie's English site as "the best, begin". Apparently some people have mistaken this for the movie's title.goku the krump dancer wrote:Does the movie have a title yet? I saw somewhere that had the title as DragonBall: Saikyo blah blah can't remember the rest.

Speaking of the title, I wonder how vague and over dramatic it will be? I hope it can top Burn Up!! A Red-Hot, Raging, Super-Fierce Fight or Super-Warrior Defeat!! I’m the One Who’ll Win ?

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
That is very true. A good recent example is with my boss, Sonny Strait. He couldn't say FUNimation had acquired the dubbing rights for the new Lupin Sansei: A Woman Called Fujiko Mine series until the official announcement. It wouldn't be too far from the truth if the same were to happen with this film and other DBZ-related anime.ultimateemail5000 wrote:I checked Sean Schemmels twitter, and he said he knows nothing about it, and if he did, he wouldn't be aloud to say anything, but he really knows nothing about it all.

I'm hoping for something over-the-top, myself. Super Saikyou Senshi Gattai! Super Vegetto no Gaeshi!! or something.Insertclevername wrote:Speaking of the title, I wonder how vague and over dramatic it will be? I hope it can top Burn Up!! I'd imagine they'd be sticking to the Kai voices. They have been using those voices for the games and they seem to be the permanent actors from now on. Honestly though the only "change" would be Bulma and Mr. Satan. Kai never made it to the Buu saga and most of the old actors got to keep their roles when handling the video games so I'd imagine the same would apply here.samuraix123 wrote:Lets say that Funimation will be dubbing this movie, Will the voice acting be like Kai? because the acting in Kai is much different than their original dub. not saying that the acting in Kai is bad, but just curious about you folk's thoughts.

I wasn't meaning the voice actors themselves just how the dialog is for Kai. because the voice actors in Kai like to use fancy wordsSparkyPantsMcGee wrote:Your Boss?Karrit wrote:

I think I see what your saying. Funimation has really grown up since they took over Dragonball and no matter what they do they are going to do the best they can to come close to the original performance.

Hey I just thought about something. I'm not sure if you folks talked about this or not, but do you think there will be any fusions in this movie? Just think what Gogeta would like look in this movie

Maybe not Gogeta, but Gotenks will appear.
Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
At this point in the story, fusion is pretty much the most powerful technique they have. If there's a really strong guy coming, it will just make sense that they use it. This just now made me realize and it's weird that I didn't before - why didn't Goku fuse with Vegeta to beat Hildegarn? Or at least try to... In-universely speaking.

Yeah in a sense. I do not work for FUNimation, but I run Sonny's websites.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:Your Boss?Karrit wrote:

Vegeta wouldn't do it. He's very unconfortable with the idea of doing the silly dance and fusing bodies with Kakarot. 9v9Dorexx wrote:At this point in the story, fusion is pretty much the most powerful technique they have. Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
I have an idea what the movie is about. Ginyu's body is on earth, and so is frog Ginyu. Sooo, frog Ginyu searches for his body and changes back into his real form, training for days to find Goku and crew. It's the return of Captain Ginyu!
Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
If not Gogeta, then Goku + Gohan please.
