Misinformed, disregard. Sorry!
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
This is the actual bottom of the package. It is the seam for the paper wrapped around the whole box.

Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Finally got mine today.
Despite the minor complaints (all of which have already been brought up at some point in this thread), this is probably the first FUNimation release that has been done "right" in recent memory. Funimation reversioning, degraded Japanese audio, changing of show logos, removal of Japanese text instead of soft-subtitling etc, are all under my list of *flaws* that commonly plague FUNimation products. This release is devoid of these common flaws and is the best FUNimation release I have seen in a long time.
Good work Funimation!

In regards to the dub-audio syncing issue, I haven't noticed it at all.
Also, it's really awkward watching the dub on this set. I guess since the dub is more modern sounding while the footage it's attached to looks like something from the 80s, so you expect the audio to be all muffled and shit.

I just bought it yesterday at Hastings for only $43 ($46.24 after tax). Before the cashier rang me up, he said in a sarcastic, but friendly tone of voice, "Are you ready for the adventure?"
A different employee who got it for me out of the glass case told me that he had bought a previous box set for Z, but it didn't look as nice as the Dragon Box. Nice to know there's other fans around where I live.
I haven't watched it yet due to being pretty busy. I'll wait until tomorrow to watch it so I can have a marathon.

Yours looks worse than mine by far. So far, mine is just the corner.

Wow, that sucks. At least my loose paper is on the bottom. If I stand it up it doesn't even matter.
I prescribe an investment in scotchtape.

At first I wondered what 16 year old Gohan was doing in the Saiyan Saga.
Huh, the Princess Snake episode might have aired on my second birthday (It aired August 2nd, 1989, but since there's such a huge time zone difference between Japan and the States, that might have been August 1st in Tennessee). Good way to celebrate my birthday considering that episode kicked ass.

Yeah, mine is the same way. There's also a crack in the glass casing second disc case, but it's not completely broken like others' were and I just have to make sure I'm careful.

I know, I have no problem with it. I'm just pointing it out. I said it was cool that they were excited. Didn't you read what I wrote? I just found it a little funny.
You don't really need to point it out then. It's the Dragon Box obviously peope are excited they're getting it.

Got mine today/yesterday; did yours turn up?

Eek. O_O;;
I can't decide if it'd be worse to have to deal with that or the smushed dent one of the corners of my Dbox has.
It kind of turns me off from wanting to order anything else from Amazon in the future; which is a shame because I was so excited to order the DBox online for 30% off.

Awesome, nope I e-mailed AxelMusic yesterday and they said there was some sort of delay and it should be here by saturday! I think it's to do with the Royal Mail strike.

Oh my effin god... That looks like it's badly gift-wrapped or something.
And I went by Best Buy today. Didn't have the Dragon Box. That's slightly odd. It did have the Bardock and Trunks specials (re-released ones from the Double Features).

I have both problems. It is pretty depressing.

OOyy....upon investigating my box I can see how that would happen. I'll probably just put clear tape on mine (if that happens) since glue is much more potentially disastrous.

I think that with the right type of glue, we can fix this. I've used aerosol-based adhesives to bind paper to posterboard, and you don't get any distortion of the paper with it. I think I'll venture to the craft store this weekend, and see what they recommend to cleanly adhere paper to cardboard.
