That doesn't answer the question. Besides Freeza fighting a Super Saiyan God looks cooler than Freeza fighting base Saiyans.

I have to disagree. SSJG Goku looks stupid no matter what, and I don't want it back. I think Toriyama intentionally made it the way it is knowing not many people would miss it. It was his excuse to eliminate the SSJ transformations/extensions.

I don't like the thought of Goku not going SSJ either though. There should be something in his base form that signifies his absorption of god ki, such as flaming aura or hair highlighted red when he powers up (like in the poster).

But in all seriousness, Australians should expect this soon, we got Battle of Gods only 25 days after it released in the US so I expect Madman is aiming to get this new movie out around the same time it releases in the US. Hopefully for longer too, Battle of Gods was only out for a weekend here in Australia, then it got released again in October for another weekend.

I guess you could say this movie certainly has created a lot more buzz than people thought it would given its seemingly basic premise. I think the fact that Toriyama is involved is a major factor in people paying more close attention to this movie.

Not really back from vacation yet, but I did manage to catch the new Funimation announcement. Tis exciting.. Just like with Battle of Gods, though I knew it was a stretch, I'm hoping for a sub announcement for the summer release. Totally willing to still go and watch Resurrection F in theaters as well even if it remain dub only. DBZ on the big screen is still a pretty rare experience, and hopefully this one will be better than my BOG run...

Super Saiyan God was a major selling point for Battle of Gods and now Golden Freezer is a major selling point for Resurrection F, simple as.

Resurrection F sounds like a it is a type of resurrection, rather than a resurrection of 'F'.

Yeah... I was really confused. Like Herms mentioned, the title is "snappier", but now its meaning is too vague.

Well, Fukkatsu no F is vague when taken on its own without any context (hence all that "The 'F' in Fukkatsu" confusion), and only makes complete sense when you know the movie's about Freeza coming back to life. So I don't think "Resurrection F" is too different in that regard.

For that matter, it occurs to me that this is pretty much the same way the pirate nicknames in One Piece are typically translated: "Y no X" becoming "YX" without an 'of' in the middle (Hiken no Ēsu gets translated as "Fire Fist Ace" rather than "Ace of the Fire Fist", for instance). And it's not like many people mistake the name "Straw-hat Luffy" as referring to a type of straw-hat, as far as I know. So I don't think too many people are going to be confused by "Resurrection F", and if they are, they won't be confused for long.

That's not the point. Point is this isn't all about money. Not every decision is on the what's gonna profit. I doubt that's what Toriyama's mindset is on.
