That'd be cool. If you think one of my color schemes is pretty good, you can include mine. If you want to.

Just to let you know I'm paid in thanks and scotch. Or just any alcohol you have in your kitchen or whatever. I just drew these quick story board sketches. They can always be changed and/or added just to let you know. This week throw out some more quick story board sketches.

Thank god for Darkhawk because all my characters will look prior DBZ. What can I say? I like the old school style. I'll do the another Goku AF color sheet probably tomorrow.

Thank you soooo much Scarz! I will try to use these and the rest of them to make a video storyboard. Then, we can get some animation done. Really, thinking about it, we aren't that far away from finishing the opening.

Thanks. First the story board than the animatic (which is like a moving story board with more scenes and important keys added into it).

Speaking of which:
As soon as the vocals come in the main protagonists (Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, Uub, Piccolo, Tenshinhan, Kuririn, and Shin) are shown doing various physical activities like running and flying all tranforming into the a form that we haven't yet seen them in (example: SSJ4 Gohan). In between a few of these shots will be a couple of battle scenes.
We need a group brainstorm here stat! Even though you described it to us very clearly GenerationII, it's time to really, and I mean really break this down. Every punch, kick, and block! We can always take examples from the actually fanmanga too, like Shin's training in the afterlife.

Here's my ideas for stuff to show in the opening:

Goku: maybe base it off of the scene where he spars with Paikuhan and quickly goes SSJ5?

Vegeta: You know, I can't think of Vegeta really doing anything new in the fanmanga so far. He was already SSJ4 at the end of GT, so unless you jump the gun and show him as SSJ5 I don't know what you could use that would count as a new form or technique or anything.

Gohan: how about him as a SSJ4 holding a book in one hand and removing his glasses with the other, like that widely circulated bit of fan art that sparked some of the AF rumors? OK, so that's not exactly action-packed, but I think it'd be neat to have that somewhere in there.

Trunks: Hmmm...beats me.

Uub: maybe as Papayaman just beating up criminals or whatever.

Piccolo: that scene from the fanmanga where he blasts the Janenba-lookalike who's getting rowdy in Hell

Tenshinhan: maybe him showing off some moves in front of his pupils at that dojo he's apparently running

Kuririn: has he actually appeared yet?

Kaioshin: I think him firing the technique he used to seal Xicor would be good. Either that or him wielding the Z Sword.
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?

Damn it Scarz! You're making me look bad! xD Nah, just kidding, amazing work as usual.

Now for this scene, exactly how much of them are supposed to be in shadow, I'm not sure how much detail there's supposed to be.. Image.

Okay, so I was working on some voices, but I have one more question: what sort of interpretation are you looking for with these voices? Similar to the FUNimation dub, or the Japanese version, or perhaps an original take on it altogether?

* actually, you said caejones, but since your reply to him wasn't about voice acting I assume you messed up. :P

What? Now you're trying to out do me with you fancy dancy animation skills, I don't think so pal... Wait sorry, I forgot that's what this is all about.

Okay about the shadows, I'll draw a second one later today with more details to help you out. Speaking of helping out there's a great website about effects like these you should check out http://flashfx.blogspot.com/

Also, are you animating at 24 frames per second?

@Herms I like your ideas, perhaps I can add some myself:

Trunks & Goten: Both should be seen together (Gohan in his new SM3 outfit) doing something... uh... slacking off? Yeah those two aren't easy.

Krillin: Should we even included him in this intro?

Kaioshin: I like the idea of him wielding the Z sword with Xcior worried expression reflecting off it for just a second.

Vegeta: Hell if I know. All I can think of him doing is training in the gravity room then changing to SS4 blowing it up. Because his power is maximum.

How about them sparring which each other, ala the "We Gotta Power" intro? Only now they're all grown up! And one of them has a weird costume...
Krillin: Should we even included him in this intro?
I vote no, unless it's as some sort of quick gag.
Kaioshin: I like the idea of him wielding the Z sword with Xcior worried expression reflecting off it for just a second.
Ah, that'd be cool.

Maybe something else to show would be that full view of the DB cosmos we see at one point, where it shows whatever crazy world Goku's at in relation to the Kaioshin Realm and the big macrocosm ball. And then it could zoom in on the world to show Goku, and maybe that dragon palace he's at now.

The final sequence could possibly be zooming in to Goku and Pikkon fighting, and the final shot before the DBAF logo (assuming its ending that way) is of Foku flashing into Super Saiyan 5?

Just my idea.

I think Herms refers to this image, I would like to see it in the itro :-) I'm lovin' it!

Also, talking of Xicor & Lila in the shadow, I hope to see them like in the opening of Dragon Ball Kai, where there are 3 frames playing very very fast with Vegeta Nappa & Radish (they are watchable only stopping them!), and in the last frames they are in the shadow for 3 seconds:

Also, talking about the drawing style, I would like it a bit more if should be used a mix of the GT + the KAI (opening) drawing style (post DBZ, less rounded, more squared lines). I hope it isn't too late to change your mind, dear Scarz, cos' I'm really appreciating your work, but I would like it a bit more if drawn so (and not just me, I think)... just a suggestion of a proud Dragon Ball fan and collector, nothing more. ;-)

I hope this adds a little more detail than the 5th scene I drew above for you Darkhawk.

I draw stuff in a very cartoon or comic book style almost all week, so when I draw DB characters in a style prior DBZ it's purely accidental. I'll try my best to keep to the current style (Kai opening) and GT in my drawings.

Okay, wow, you've all given me quite a bit to sort through. First of all, we are hereby officially taking Krillin out. Next up, Vegeta should turn into super saiyan MUSTACHE!!!!!LOL. No, I think that just showing Vegeta being all badass and stuff, training should be enough. As for Goten and Trunks I think that they should be show training in uh... Dende's Palace (Trunks in a buisiness suit and Goten in his SM3 costume) and then maybe they fuse? I don't know. I guess this is a good place to bring up Goten's hair. I PERSONALLY like the way Goten's hair looked at the end of DBZ. Does anyone else agree? Well, whatever. As for the chibi dance thing, I think that it would be awesome if the chibi dancers did a little kamehameha dance. I know that is very open ended, so let's leave it to you imagination.

Yeah, that's the one. There's also that original fan picture of SSJ5 Goku that Toyble's designs for SSJ5 and Goku's AF clothes in general are based on. You can see it here if you scroll down a ways. I think it'd be neat to show SSJ5 Goku in that pose.

I thought it looked better than his GT hair, but I suppose it'd pretty much have to.

Hmmm...but they haven't actually fused in the story so far.
