There's a diagram in the New World page explaining the whole process of Shinjin being born from fruit and getting selected as Kaio/shins, with an arrow off to one side saying that those with evil hearts go to the Makaio(s). I think that the only place it's mentioned. Perhaps notably, this arrow comes off from the regular Shinjin; there's no equivalent one coming from the golden fruit Shinjin.
2) Are Dr. Slump, Neko Majin, Episode of Bardock, Battle of Gods, and the Kanzenban ending presented as if they actually happened in the same world that the manga takes place?
They really just provide information on them, going over their characters/races/locations/techniques/etc, in a mini-version of the same format used in Daizenshuu 4 to explain those things in DB. Neko Majin's world is described as an "uncivilized world in the same era and on the same Earth as 'Dragon Ball'". Episode of Bardock is called a spin-off. Dr. Slump itself isn't covered, only the 2007 "Abale-chan" spin-off. This is said to take place in the "miracle world" of Penguin Village, located far to the east of Kame House, which is also where Goku had previously fought the RR. The movie Battle of Gods itself isn't mentioned, only Bilus and Whis.
3) Is the part about Boo destroying planets in the same section that talks about Birusu having others (hinting Freeza) to do his job?
No, the Toriama mentions Bilus' outsourcing in his Q&A. The caption mentioning how Freeza and Boo destroyed planets is earlier, at the start of the New World where it features Bilus and Whis.

Birusu was asleep for 39 years, and we know for certain that Freeza destroyed Vegeta and Namek in the timeframe. Still completely possible that he was following the Hakaishin's orders and destroyed others we don't know about.
Perhaps "destruction" doesn't have to mean the destroying of planets, but the cleaning of those worlds. Freeza's army certainly did that, right?

Not just Earth, but in his adminstrative zone... which means he will destroy whatever planets that are in his zone when he awoke from his slumber. So far it's been implied that he's the one and only God of Destruction.

It's possible that Kid Boo acted as his evil agent, but eventually became unable to destroy the planets because of the influence Dai Kaioshin has over Buu's personality, which is probably why he anointed Freeza as his agent later on.

I wish Viz cared about bringing these here.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

He has his own administrative zone in the universe, this means that he alone cannot maintain balance in the whole universe. If planets are created in other administrative zones, it means other planets in those zones have to be destroyed. So other Hakaishin probably exist.

Also, we now know that Sozoshin = Kaioshin, we also know that Makaioshin are the opposites of the Kaioshin and Hakaishin are the opposites of the Sozoshin, does this mean that Hakaishin are Makaioshin?

It's weird that the best cooks are Gyūmaō and Yamucha. I would expect him to say Chi-Chi. Did Yamucha or Gyūmaō ever cook at all in the series?

The response makes as much sense as the question... The question was so random that Toriyama cited two random characters for the response. In the anime, it is shown that Chaozu is a great cook.

I almost want to draw Yamcha and Gyūmaō cooking together. XD It feels so random that Toriyama picked them as the best cooks.

I could see Gyu-Mao as one of those Food Network chefs.

Yamcha as a good cook? Well, when you're living alone in the desert I guess you need to be able to take care of yourself, especially nutrition-wise?

My personal head-canon has always favored Vegeta as one of the better cooks because of that "Prince Vegeta's Cooking Hell" song where he sing-narrates as he makes okonomiyaki.

Well, since Ox-King is a widower/father and Yamcha's a perpetual bachelor, I'd imagine they both ended up learning to cook for themselves.

Yamucha charms all the ladies with his cooking. If only Sprite Satan was still around to hear the greatest tidbit given in a guidebook.

I always assumed Puer made Yamucha's food, then Blooma's parents would when he lived in the Capsule Corp building (though, I guess those were probably paid cooks). I also imagined Gyūmaō to have servants and cooks as well when he lived on Mt. Frying Pan. Before it went all...destroy-y of course.

Were the color spreads from daizenshuu 4 included?

Yamcha probably got good at cooking by making a bunch of apology dinners for Bulma

Of course, the real answer is probably that Toriyama picked a couple of names at random from the side characters whose names he could still remember.

The part about the characters' home lives is a fun little tidbit, too. #18 gets scary when she's angry, so Kuririn has to work hard to appease her? Yeah, I can see that. And Bulma's like a boss around Capsule Corp., having "complete control" over everything. Does that include Vegeta?

It's kind of funny how they mention Laissez Faire, considering that I also happen to be learning that right now in school!

Overall I'd say the questions were pretty good but I hope there are more interviews like this in later volumes. Perhaps more info ridden about BoG since it would already be out.

It's one of the character songs from one of the two "in-character" CD's. :3

The entire time I was reading that little Toriyama Q&A (thanks for the translation, Kanzenshuu!), I had to keep scrolling up to make sure this was really an interview with Toriyama. I mean, his answers sound so... confident. Like he actually *knows* things about the Dragon World. It just seems so different from the humble, forgetful, "never-go-into-any-real-detail" Toriyama we usually read about in past interviews.

I mean, no doubt he refreshed his memory a little to work on "Battle of Gods," but still... wow.
