Japanese doesn't really have plural nouns, so it could be either "enemy" or "enemies".

Japanese doesn't really have a way to distinguish if it's plural or not.

And I've seen enemy be used for more than one person.

OK, the original theory still stands! But still, if they did mean plural than the grammar of the tag-line would be totally off: "What is this unknown, powerful enemies!?". Though your probably just going to come back and explain some rules for Japanese grammar and prove this theory wrong too!

I really need to take that Japanese class next year!

When singular changes to plural, so do the verbs to fit for the word.

Although, without context, it's pretty hard to establish anything other than "there will be someone or a group of someones fighting our heroes."

I know, that is what I was trying to prove.

Herms told me that enemy cold be either singular or plural in Japanese.

Then I was showing that that wouldn't work because the verbs weren't plural too (I was also asking if there was any Japanese grammar rule that contradicts this).

And my point was that it wouldn't matter because, in addition to not really having plural or singular noun forms, the Japanese language also doesn't have plural or singular linking verbs. (Particles will attach to anything.) And, in translation, without any context, it isn't assured whether they will be fighting against an enemy or enemies.

Old Goku was one of his ideas for how to end the manga, but one he had sometime around 1989 or earlier, so way before Buu. The picture of old Goku and Toriyama's explanation of it appeared in a short comic he drew explaining his connection to the anime, which appeared in the first DragonBall Z Animation Special (the same thing that "In the Name of Piccolo Daimao" appeared in), published in 1989. It's set before Uub turns up in Z.

Besides, it's an original concept by Toriyama himself, he considers GT a "side story" further proven by the DBO timeline which completely ignores DBGT.

He's probably referring to their return to the silver screen. They've been gone since March of 1996 so this really is a return.

Possibly, considering young Trunks and young Goten are in the image.

Then again, Kuririn has no hair.... so the image may not mean shit as far as placement goes. Hell, it may not fit anywhere.

I'd guess it would be before he shows up because Goten and Trunks are still children in this special (they look the same age on the poster as they did in the Buu episodes) and I think there's at least a three to five age gap between them and Uubu.

Uub wasn't born until after Buu was destroyed, and Trunks was 8 then and Goten 7.
