Trust me. He will. Bardock vision is false information that won't come true.

This is more like it. There's no way Bardock could beat a C-16 level opponent.

Bardock vision could be much a later match. Cold is most likely going to fight Bra in the next match and is going to get his ass kick badly.

It won't surprise me if they throw in Majin Bardock if Bardock ends up losing. I can imagine later on in the story that Bardock goes total ape shit later on.

Maybe Bardock will get SSJ2 or something? Sure, it would be a bullshit move, but so was him getting SSJ in the first place

As it stands, I don't see him winning like this.

Art is awesome...but Bardocks line was so lame...sounds like something TFS Goku would say.

I dunno about it sounding like a TFS line, but it is...weird. Something like 'Helpless? You're the one who's helpless.' would have been more fitting I think.

Totally badass moment, but I guess that it would equal to as much damage Gohan managed to give 2nd Form Freeza.

I like the line if its the way I have it interpreted. I wouldn't see it as something TFS Goku would say... I would say it is something any Vegeta would say. A very arrogant line to say that even if he's flipped upside down, he's still right side up. I'm interpreting it as him implying everyone else is upside down. That literally everything revolves around his point of view, which complements his character. His "I've seen it in my vision and interpreted this way, therefore it is to be", which is a neat perspective to give Bardock that just because the visions he sees are always right he thinks his interpretations are also right, even if they aren't.

For Vegetto it would be just as cool in a different way if he said it, being literally the most powerful being, the direction "up" is from whichever way I am standing.

Art is good, dialogue is bad. Nothing new.

See, this is why you should never hold people upside down by their legs. This is exactly what happened to Recoome in the main series when he picked Vegeta like a vegetable.

Anyway, Cold doesn't seem to be reacting to the barrage at all. He's probably going to tank it for comedic effect.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Vegeta does say that while training In DBZA episode 34.
Bulma (on a screen): Are you bleeping insane?!?

I guess I was right to say any Vegeta then  I don't follow the abridged series that heavily I know that Goku is a character that has an emphasized savant syndrome and not as much like the Toei/FUNi Gokus. Vegeta's seems more or less the same type of character with more jokes so that's why I said any . Checking that line in the abridged series its delivered as a joke with a possible hint at being egotistical but not as much. I hope that isn't how it's expressed in this multiverse panel or it would be indeed lame.

I guess Bardock will end up blasting a hole in his body and having him win. If that is true then I'm calling BS on the whole fight. I don't think a normal SSj could do that to someone around Imperfect Cell level.

Maybe I have missed something, but how do we know that Bardock is at normal SSJ level? I mean, just because of that Goku and Vegeta didn't reach C16 level using the normal SSJ doesn't mean that they couldn't (or never did) if they trained long enough.
Apart from that, yeah, I see a sneak attack making Bardock win, if he manages to do that.

I don't see why people throw it around that some of these characters can't be at a certain level of power.

In the series itself, Trunks seems surprised that Vegeta immediately jumps up to Grade II in order to fight Cell's second form, implying that his regular Super Saiyan strength was probably in that same realm of power as well. So there is precedence for normal Super Saiyans to be above 16 without mastering the transformation.

For Bardock in particular, it's been over fifty years since we last "saw" him. I see nothing saying it would be impossible for a regular Super Saiyan to be at 16's level; especially after all that time.

Cold doesn't look all that affected... Whether it's the art, or just for surprise effect, we can only find out how effective this blow really was next page.

Cant pick them up by the arms either if you take Pan into account.

Throat works though.
