I'm not too familiar with all of FUNimation's materials, but have they used that flying Goku image before? It really looks like it is based off of an image from Daizenshuu 6, but it's not exactly the same. Does anyone know where it's from?

Are you talking about the Super Saiyan Goku one? On the previous page we realized it was from DragonBall Z Legends, along with that Vegeta image.

If I'm not mistaken I think that was used in one of the season sets.
I cannot verify right now though.
Goku: "Look Vegeta! People popcorn!"
Vegeta: "What is he on?"

I wonder...
Y'all 'member the gorgeous Dragon box single disk art, right?
What if they did bump the disk count up to seven AND used the singles art as DVD labels And menus?

Also wondering what will be in it.
Do you think they will include things from the Japanese Dragonbooks?
And for the extra pages they have... not sure what they will include.
The first DragonBox book was 128 pages.
Just 2 of these will be more than that! So they will need to throw in a lot of new material.

I remember where that flying Goku image came from, it was on the cover of one of FUNimation's "Anime Source" inserts.

No, the normal form Goku on the Dragon Book.

Do you know if the image is exclusive to FUNi, because I can't think of anything Toei has put out with that image?

You aren't perchance referring to the image where he's paired with Piccolo? Because that was a different flying Goku.

Nope, I'm 100% sure that I've seen that image on one of the old anime sources that was included in a FUNimation release.

It really reminds me of this image from Daizenshuu 6, but they're not the same image. FUNi's image looks more rounded and things don't match up. I swear I've seen FUNi use that image before, but I just can't place it.

*snip*
Funi used it on the back of Season 1 and on the cover of the Season 1 booklet. And that's not the only DBox image that resembles another drawing...

Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Do you think if they make a Dragon Ball Dbox they will keep the same red box and white dvd book with characters on design? Because if they did they would have to add more characters in there because there would be more dvd cases

THANK YOU!! I knew I had seen it somewhere.

I think that comparison is a little more questionable. They're somewhat similar, but not almost identical. Besides, they added Gohan.

Um... no. They have more than enough character art to go around from the original Dragon Box. If FUNi does 7 episodes a disc, then they'd only need 22 discs for the whole series. If they do 6 discs per Dragon Box, then they'd have 4 Dragon Boxes so they'd only need 4 images for the cover art. If they use the original artwork drawn for the original Dragon Box, then they'll have about 10 or more to chose from. I think they'll be fine.
