I've seen the video, and while a lot of characters were leaked, it does seem to skip over the entire middle of the roster for some reason, which means even the leak is hiding characters.

I've been hearing there are 181 characters now (including the pre-order character). Maybe the part that is skipped isn't showing any new characters? Would suck if so, since it'd mean

The 181 only refers to the roster currently confirmed + the characters who have leaked. Technically it's 182 with the pre-order character, but still, the video literally cuts halfway, skipping over a chunk of the roster. We have no Idea who's between Gotenks and Saibamen. Confirmed characters like Yajirobe, Roshi, Frieza, Cell, and Buu weren't even in the video either.

In fact, aside from the characters and their forms being next to each other, the rest of the roster's lineup seemed kinda randomly organized.

After the latest leaks everything changes.
Beyond the first season pass on Super Hero and Daima, what do you think they will add?
In my opinion they will focus on the GT and the first series. After these there remain some characters from SUPER, films and DBH (which I'm looking forward to).

I love it but what will be left for DLCs? Not that I care if we get the best right off the bat, but really, Cooler's Kikosentai, Bojack's gang, Turles' gang, base GT senshi, Rildo, Super 17(oh boy you got robbed), forgettable ToP fodder... Daima and SH for sure, and DB characters.

I've seen Cabba, so Frost must be there, too. I think the mystery character will be Beast Gohan or Cell Max. I mean they are not saving any big hitters for later.

Even though the middle section isn't shown, it adds up to 182/3

A positive thing is that we have more than 164 characters, almost 20 more, plus DLC and all we get from daima and super hero will make over 200 characters, thats a good thing.

But Kid Goku being the only OG character is a huge disappointment, I can't believe they cut the WHOLE OG DRAGONBALL cast from previous games, thats blasphemy.

They better make an OG DLC or I will be seriously disappointed.

The second thing that annoys me is the character select, its absolutely horrible I swear the worst ever in any game. When you have so many characters you can't just throw them all in like this.
The transformations are all separate and the characters are thrown in very randomly with no logic or order.

If they stick to this ridicilous character select we better have some filters to be able to sort for example by GT, Super, Z etc... or fast search things or something like that, otherwise its a big mess.

Surprised to see all the main movie antagonists here -- really curious to see how this game will handle Garlic Jr's ultimate. Surprised to see them all included in the base game since there are some associated characters I expected to see like their henchmen or even Garlic Jr's first form. I imagine this game will be supported for awhile like XV2 so hope to see more original series characters and Paikuhan in the future.

Awesome news but imagine the sheer hype when we think we're done and more cells are added to the grid, we've been robbed today.

And it's epic to have all this but it's hard not to focus on some of the strange omissions

In all seriousness, I'm curious...
Daima Goku is clearly the preorder character, but it only has his base form.
Though the new Daima trailer confirmed he can use SS1,2,3.
Perhaps this character was made so far ahead of time that they were unaware...
In which case, I'm hoping when the Daima DLC releases, they'll be able to edit this character so it'll be able to transform, instead of making another slot.
