There really is probably one person who I wished was killed by that damn Destructo Disk-Recoome. The Ginyu Force were morons, and Recoome would have fell for that attack, no Taiyoken needed. When Recoome was charging his Eraser Gun, instead of Krillin jumping in, he throws a Kienzan, Recoome's dead, and Krillin has a bit better of a track record.

I just want to know why people didn't just bust out a Kienzan when they were right next to their opponent or why they didn't use a hand sword version like Salza did. It seems like it would be really effective against somebody around your power level since it doesn't seem to even require all that much power to cause a great deal of damage. Freeza cut himself in half with his own disc and he had easily created two of them, where as I would think he would have needed to use almost all of his power to have accidently almost killed himself with a more generic energy attack. So some kind of distraction like a Taiyoken or sand in their eye or just land a good hit or put it behind a weak energy attack and when the enemy goes to tank that bam Kienzan to the face.

Plot reasons. Even if they did that the opponent would find a way to avoid it because of the plot.dario03 wrote:I just want to know why people didn't just bust out a Kienzan when they were right next to their opponent or why they didn't use a hand sword version like Salza did. Well sure but you would think they would at least try. I mean they shouldn't be aware of plot reasons after all.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Huh, can't say I've ever thought of that before...but that actually really would have been a lot better. Vegeta could be somewhat beaten on the sidelines and make a comment about how he really was right to be wary of that kind of attack. Recoome would have already had his time to shine so we wouldn't really be losing anything from him there. Burter and Jeice could both start toying with the weakened Vegeta along with Gohan and Kuririn, giving us more time to have Burter actually doing things. Goku shows up as per the norm and whoops up on both of them, and then things would play out as they already do, except now 1) Kuririn did get to do something cool as you said, 2) Burter gets to stand out a little bit more, and 3) we've avoided at least a little more of the 'Goku arrives and curbstomps' comparison between Nappa and Recoome because at least this time it'd be two people instead of a big lughead.FoolsGil wrote:There really is probably one person who I wished was killed by that damn Destructo Disk-Recoome. Yup, it was definitely something with the shading or the 'Nail' in the previous page, because this one didn't bring any TFS Guru to my mind at all.
Also, just a note Mystic Buu, you can make the page itself post here by putting and image tag before and after the URL (though you'll need the URL of just the picture itself, not the site page). Just have to put the URL in between these two tags - [ i m g ] and [ / i m g ]. Only you'd do it without the spaces between, I had to put those in to make the tags show up as text here. Like this. ^_^

Today it was a minicomic instead of the special chapter.

That was pretty good

It's one thing for being translating a joke to include a footnote to explain it, but who in their right minds would make a joke with a footnote to explain it?
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

The original Japanese version uploaded on DA did not have this note (and the note stays absent on the Japanese DBM page). Still, the English translation provided by the original author already on DA had this note.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I don't really see the problem with the note honestly. It's easily ignorable if you don't want to read it, and it could help with someone who's following the comic and might not really be as knowledgeable about that stuff.
...Though I guess it is kind of unnecessary either way, since the main point is they wanna eat him, not what they want to cook him up as.
