New Saiyans are over done. I want to see more new stuff then the same old stuff. We had Radditz, Nappa, Vegeta, Turles, Bardock, Paragus, Broli, Table and Gine. We don't need any more.

I agree saiyans are overdone in movies and specials, but it'd be cool to see their return in the actual series. The saiyan saga was the last time we got a full blood saiyan. I doubt they'd even be a Super Saiyan or anything, but it'd be great to see the return of the oozaru.

Disagree -- except for Bardock and Gine, they were all Saiyans shown in isolation from Saiyan society (and many of those, movie-only characters). We have been shown a very one-dimensional view of of their society as a result. Even just seeing Gine showed us there are Saiyans that do things other than fighting, and personalities other than "ruthless warrior". Saiyans are like the Klingons or Vulcans of the DB world -- showing more of them enriches the universe more than one-off races do.

More Saiyans? I thought we'd finally get something original, hopefully it's only 1 or 2 saiyans, and the other fighters are original. If the other fighters aren't original as well, then hopefully their is another Universe arc that doesn't have carbon copies of Goku and co.

Being two different versions of the same character doesn't mean their the same. Beerus and Champa seem to be technically the same person from their respective universes, but they're two different people, both in looks and personality. I don't mind having a twin of Goku and Vegeta show up, cause they're not the same person at all. But even so, just because it's a saiyan doesn't mean it's gonna be a twin version of them.

Champa did say Saiyans, so I figure it's gonna be two at least, and hopefully only two, and I was thinking he'd probably use a Namekian, and the other two will be original beings. I don't mind either, as long as some type of totally new character shows up.

You know, I never thought about it with that kind of context, but that's a really good you bring up. I think the inclusion of more Saiyans from another universe could certainly add a much needed greater dimension to the characterisation to the race.

Typical, there's a mention of other Saiyajins and people are already complaining about Goku and Vegeta clones... can't people just wait to see what we'll be getting? Counterpart discussion has been done to death ever since we knew about the 12 Universes. Anyway, I miss their tails and these ones should have them intact.

So, now we have Saiyajin and Namekians confirmed. I'm gonna bet there's a Boo-like creature as well (hope it appears in the tournament). I was also thinking that Freeza's race might exist but since they are mutants, maybe not...

Well U6 has five fighters. They could have two Saiyans and three more original characters.

There's nothing wrong with having Saiyans in Universe 6. There's nothing even wrong with having powerful Saiyans in Universe 6. But it is incredibly lazy. Instead of introducing new alien species, it's implying they're just going to have more Saiyans. And if we actually get something like Evil!Goku, I am going to be very annoyed. Because that's the laziest idea for a villain you could ever do.

It could be a good idea if it's utilised well. I'm more frustrated that this is going to fuel a month of nothing but Evil Goku discussions.

They're twin universes, what do you expect? The other universes have new alien species for sure, plus we've already seen many new species/ characters already. U6 saiyans could be very different from U7 as well. I've been wanting some new saiyans for a long time!

Who knows if we'll even get much new type of characters? This is only a twin universe after all, we've pretty much explored most of U7 already, can we expect there to be any other species as strong as the ones we know in U7 already? But I am for whoever this mysterious guy is that Beerus fought, and wonder what we can expect from him.

Watch the two Saiyans he grabs hype themselves up and then it turns out they haven't even achieved regular Super Saiyan.
That or the Universe 6 Saiyans are pacifists :p

Knowing that Beerus and Champa are team leaders rather than members of the fighting part of the team, this kind of starts to feel like a pokémon tournament now. X3

*Imagines Beerus dressed as Shigeru/Gary, Champa as Satoshi/Ash, Vados as Kasumi/Misty, and Whis as...I don't know actually, one of Shigeru's cheerleaders I guess? ^^; )

Toriyama did the character design for Broly, so he might remember him a bit.

Toriyama's on record as saying he doesn't consider Goku to be that much of a "good guy" at the end of the day, so he wouldn't necessarily jump to evil!Goku as his U6 counterpart. Heck, he might even have the U6 Saiyan(s) be Superman-style do-gooders and contrast them with Goku and Vegeta that way.
