I'll double check. Sorry about that.Herms wrote:No, those scanslator guys just made another mistranslation. Bulma actually says that she's received no word from Goku and Vegeta. She probably knows they're off training at Beerus' planet (since Piccolo knows that, and otherwise Bulma would say Goku and Vegeta have vanished or something like that), but she hasn't heard back from them since they left. I suppose "Goku and Vegeta decided not to tell me anything" doesn't sound too different from "I haven't heard from Goku and Vegeta", but the implications are very different.Chuquita wrote:Wait, they didn't tell Bulma anything about their training? They just up and 'stole into the night'? Because that'd be something else if that's what she's inferring.
Those guys are really starting to get on my nerves. They're not 100% unreliable by any stretch, but they seem to make at least one big bone-headed mistake in every scanlation they do.
Edit: The Bulma line was originally translated as "Well, Goku and Vegeta have not decided to tell me anything so I had to come all the way here!" I just thought the "have not decided" part was a little mouthful
Edit 2: As for the several years thing 数年 means several years. 数 is the kanji for "number" and 年 is the kanji for "year." They commonly say it when not specifying an exact number of years.
