Regardless of how strong a potara fusion would be between the two, I doubt we will be seeing fusion portrayed anytime recently aside from Gotenks anyway. I honestly feel that fusion isn't as satisfying as one single character being the winner of the fight anyway.

Goku will somehow transform beyond Super Saiyan God (as Dragon Ball Heroes hints), and defeat Freeza. Freeza won't die in this movie, and we will see him again (Nakao hinted that in Bulma's blog), but I don't think he will become a good guy.

I'm expecting for Freeza not to even get defeated in this movie let alone die. Just for the reason I think Freeza had too much impact in the series, so bringing him back to just die in 1 movie sounds like a waste.

And why would that change? Vegeta isn't the main protagonist of the series.

Goku being the main character doesn't mean other characters can't shine.

If Gohan who did 0 before defeating Cell can have a win then surely Vegeta can.

It would be pretty weird seeing Vegeta deal the last attack on Frieza since Goku always gets to do it hehe. I still doubt they would let Goku not be the one to finish Frieza.

That's the case in the majority of Toie's stories but in Toriyama's we see Goku lose multiple times.

It'll feel very different to see Vegeta save the day that's for sure.

The music on that clip... oh god... it was one of the first Anime songs I ever had. I didn't even knew where it came from. I recorded it from a radio station on a cassette. Holy shit... *NOSTALGIA ATTACK*

Some theories/thoughts based on my knowledge from the trailers/chapters/spoilers...

1) Gohan getting knocked out happens before Goku and Vegeta appear on the battle field. He challenges Frieza and loses. There was a pic I saw earlier in the thread that showed a screen with all the heroes (who aren't Goku and Vegeta) looking up towards the 1000 soldiers with base Frieza in his pod thing floating in the middle of them.

2) based on their inability to work together in the chapter, Goku and Vegeta will try to each solo Frieza before realizing they need to team up to win. (extra: Whis shows up once they win (but not actually kill Frieza) and congratulates them on working together ) Either that or Vegeta beats Frieza.

3) Goten and Trunks will show up in the movie, but they probably will join too late and not be able to fight, thus leading to some type of funny scene. Also, new designs! (Possibly)

4) Goku has some type of Pseudo-God form. His aura in the ad/trailer where he is looking up at Frieza's attack (Death Ball? ) looks like SSJG but not quite the same.

5) Jaco is there for comedic relief and to introduce him to fans who haven't read Jaco. He's in as a merchandising technique + Toriyama's fondness of his new character.

6) Frieza will not die at the end of this movie.

7) This movie will end on a cliff hanger to set the stage for another movie.

I'd say it's more Toriyama's fondness for his new character, since there's still hardly any Jaco merchandising. Maybe there's a big wave of Jaco paraphernalia on the way, but...I kind of doubt it. The trailer doesn't even treat his presence as a big thing at all.

Oh, and on that note, the Bulma blog post for today is Bulma explaining about her sister Tights and Jaco. I'll get to it later.

2- I think Vegeta will win but a team up is definitely a possibility.

4- I think it's from the attack's color reflecting on him.

6- I think the reason he's back other then to give Vegeta a chance to shine is to give him the death battle he deserves and if he doesn't in this movie then he'll probably get killed of like a bug in the next and I hope that doesn't happen.

7- I don't know about a cliff hanger but I'm sure we'll get a hint to what's next.

I can definitely imagine him doing the voice for Sorbet or Jaco, not so much Tagoma though. Still, the thought of having the voice behind Mario in a Dragon Ball product is pretty exciting.

Yeah even with Frieza death he could be proud knowing that he is the strongest after just 4 month and that it needs 2 Saiyans with training under Whis to beat him.

Ooh, I watched that video (from paaaaages and pages ago at this point) from that event where the voice actors were all together. They didn't really reveal anything new there, though I wonder what Freeza is commenting on waiting "10 more seconds" for. And someone awhile ago wondered what the others were praising Horikawa about after he did his line. They were impressed that he could rattle it off without reading the script (Furukawa adds that even when recording in the studio he doesn't look at the script).

I kind of find it more suspicious now that Horikawa hasn't appeared on the blog yet. My previous out-of-universe explanation (that he's been too busy to help promote the movie) seems to not be true. So...maybe they're still hiding something about Vegeta's role? Not that many days left until we find out, but damn it's hard to be patient!

Maybe ? His entire fight with Freeza is being hidden which is why I think we won't get any comment from Horikawa until April 18th.

Ha! That'd be a hilarious reference to the infamous '5 minutes' in the Manga/Anime.

If I were to guess, I would say he is probably referring to waiting for Goku to show up, having, presumably, wiped the floor with everyone.
