Definitely true, but Vegeta is the worst about it. I mean, he let Cell go to his final form, asked Freeza to transform into more powerful forms when they had him somewhat reeling, and technically unlocked Buu's ball.

And to be fair, at the end of the day it was all plot convenience for a rapidly changing plot.

This is why I rarely 'blame characters' with this series. There's no damn well-thoughtout-ahead-of-time plot.

The Cell fiasco was a team effort with Horny!Krillin, and Buu was at half-power just from Gohan's energy. Given Buu's cheap-ass regeneration, I doubt Vegeta going Majin really made a difference there.

Freeza could transform at any time, also. I don't see that as a failing just because Freeza would've transformed anyway as soon as the Vegeta/Gohan/Krillin team gained any ground on him.

I don't care if I was overmatched and controlled by Piccolo. I'd go right after that mofo.
