I can't help my aitch-less brother or Goku100x, because I don't have access to the Japanese Manga. I can translate the page that Bando posted, at least.

Krillin: The Spirit Ball!!!

Piccolo and Gohan: Spirit Ball!?

Krillin: Yeah!! The King of Worlds told me. It's a desperate technique!

Krillin: The grass, the trees and the animals on this planet… Even the germs on our bodies… Every living thing each gives a part of their life force…

Krillin: W-which will form a ball of energy with attacking power…

Piccolo: W-what!?

Piccolo: Damn that king guy... Why the hell did he keep slient about the Spirit Ball...

This should be something like "It's an ace-in-the-hole technique that he learned from Kaio".

In the quote, nante simply acts as an intensifier or exclamation (you're confusing it with nande). Piccolo isn't asking why Kaio didn't tell them about the Genki-Dama, he's exclaiming "Kaio didn't tell us anything about that!"

Yeah, I didn't realise Krillin was talking about Gokū there.

I know the difference between "nante" and "nande". I just chose to translate the sentence as a rhetorical question since Piccolo is talking to himself.

I-I don't know if this fits here or not but can I ask for sort of a reverse translation? Kaboom said in another thread that the English Bardock special was incredibly inaccurate so I was just kind of curious some of the major things that were changed in the dub from the original version.

If this is too much of a stretch let me know, I didn't want to make a separate topic and this seemed to fit better than most other threads.

I've been wondering that myself, and thinking about watching the dub version to see how different it is. From what I've heard, the dub has Bardock repent of his entire past as a planet-conquering bastard, and has Zarbon mention Bardock specifically to Freeza.

Please could someone translate for that page in which Yamcha explains their meeting with God in the afterlife? As well as the page in which Kuririn asks Bulma where Yamcha is and Bulma gets pissed off about him?

Vegeta: (*chuckle*) If that's the limit to what you've got, then I'll be greatly disappointed...

Goku: What a powerful bastard...! Heheh...and yet...even though I'm in this kind of trouble, I'm starting to get excited.

Thank you!
And btw, you don't have to quote the image, just quote the url like I did.

So after checking out Kanzentai to see, if they got some new stuff just lying around, I found this recent update in the picture archive:

And I became very curious about what chibi Cell states, so if anyone is willing to post a translation it'd be much appreciated.

Cell: [r] The time for me to become the strongest warrior has finally drawn near…[l] I’m fine with reaching my perfect form, but I kinda hate for this pretty mug of mine to change too.

It sounds like Toriyama is speaking through him actually, what with Cell not being satisfied with getting new looks.

Can anyone translate what it says about the characters original to the Dragon Ball Heroes game here:
http://www.carddas.com/dbh/play/license_avatar.html

You don't have to translate everything and post it here, just anything interesting they may have to say about them as well as their names/classes.

Thanks for the translation.

I noticed someone in the game section that there was a new Heroes commercial. I was kinda hoping character sheets for the Majin avatars would have leaked like the Saiyan avatars did, but no luck...at least not so far. So when I went to check out more info on the Majin avatars, I discovered the game has a lot of characters I'd have liked to play as for a while now (preferably in Raging Blast, but I guess I can't be picky. lol). Bido, Bujin, Gokua, and I haven't played as the Buff Perfect Cell since the original Budokai. Mr. Satan has yet to return, and I guess I shouldn't be surprised that 13, 14, 15 and Hatchihyack made it into Heroes since the Carddass style games seem to share the "exclusive new characters" with Spike since SS3 Broli and SS3 Vegeta. It makes me wonder who else is in the game that I don't know about now that the Majins have made their debut.

I know I'll never play it, but it would have been nice to try once I suppose.

I guess this is the right thread for this, I was wondering if anyone could give this a translation for me? Or at least a vague idea of what's being said here.

It's from Katsura, talking about Dragon Ball for some reason.

Gyt Kaliba: That's the "I Love DragonBall" section from Shenlong Times #7. Katsura talks about how he's been good friends with Toriyama for 16 years. When he was working on D.N.A Squared, Toriyama advised him to have the main character's hair change color when he transformed, and have him fight. Katsura says he took this as the word of God and followed it even though he felt somewhat uneasy about it being too similar to Super Saiyan, and as a result DB fans scolded him for plagiarizing. This time he drew No.18 and Goku (Goku's picture is on the next page), but his version of Goku looks like he belongs in Harajuku or Shibuya. Hopefully the fans won't get mad at him again. At the bottom, cartoon-Toriyama tells Katsura (in Batman garb) that he uses too much toner.

Thanks for the help Herms, that helps me out a lot. In regards to Toriyama's idea on DNA, I can certainly see where fans would have accused him of plagiarism, the panels where it happens are pretty similar.

That wouldn't happen to be this drawing would it?

I'd wondered where it had come from too, and jsut assumed it was from that event where Oda, Kishimoto, and a bunch of other manga-ka did drawings of Dragon Ball as a tribute.
