I didn't take it as "new information"... except maybe to an actual new viewer who hasn't seen the original show, and would need some quick hits of info on who this random cat is!

Goku's reaction was more "Man, Karin, you've got too much free time on your hands..." rather than "Oh geeze I was not under the impression that this was a thing you do and I am just learning this for the first time."

With one more sleep before episode 3, I want to ask this question that's been on my mind the last couple days:

- Since Krillin's haircut changed when he de-aged, if/when we see Gohan will he have a bowl cut or the wild-n-free 'do?

Or I could just rephrase that as: bowl cut, yes or yes?

I'm going to say no, if only because I don't think that anyone would think to include that detail. That being said, I'm also not sure if we will see Gohan appear at all. My guess is that we'll just have to wait and see, because I think Kuririn was only made bald again because he is known for being bald.

Then again, it's a surprise that they even bothered letting him have hair here, as it is.

But Korin telling goku that in Ogdb is consistent(somewhat) with Goku going to korin to ask him to compare his power with cell.

I'm not so sure I agree. I think the fact they changed Krillin's hair is enough reason to assume that someone would think to include the bowl cut. Team Bowl Cut!

Bulma and Chi-Chi's haircut haven't changed, even though they looked completely different as children.

Bulma is a few years younger here but it would have been nice to reuse this and kid Chi-Chi's haircut designs:



The fact that they've been selective with which hairstyles to change (Yamcha's short hair became longer after the wish as well, though I don't blame fans for missing it since he barely showed up as an adult), makes me think any changes that happened occurred not for in-universe consistency but for out-of-universe marketing reasons.

This is to say if Gohan does ever show up, I do expect him to ditch the Boo arc look and either rock the Yamcha-style Saiyan arc messy wolf cut, the Namek bowl cut, or perhaps more likely, the Cell Games cut.
