Yes, the article explains that both this picture of Trunks and the one of Freeza were especially created for this special Yahoo Search thing where if you search 戦闘力53万/"battle power 530,000", Freeza will appear and offer to let you join him. If you select to join him, you get a special Freeza-themed Yahoo background. If you select to defeat him, Trunks appears and cuts him in half, talks about needing your help to save the future, and then Toriyama's comment on the new story arc appears (it's the same comment featured on Toei's DBS site).

It was Blue in the preview so I highly doubt it'll be any other color in the anime. I'd bet it's to help him stand out from our Trunks.

I'm still hoping for new outfits or F and Champa arc outfits for Gokû and Vegeta to make their return. They're way more refreshing to look at than the BOG outfits.

Her hair has been blue for how long now? 30 years? They did it that way and that's it.

In Trunk's case you literally have his younger self with purple hair. I wonder what's the story behind the change. Maybe Toriyama said that he wants it blue or maybe it's to differenciate him from the kid one.

If that Dragon ball heroes picture gives some indication, we are getting the same old Cell arc outfits like in BoG...

I just don't get why they'd throw away those outfits after one movie and an arc, it'd be one thing if they were getting new outfits but going backwards is weird.

Especially since they've never gone backwards before. If they were finished with the F outfits, then why not just give them a new set like they did in DB and Z? I get merchandising, but wouldn't they make even more money if they went with a brand new set of outfits instead of just "here's ssjblue with BOG outfits"?
I miss Vegeta's F armor so much. I really liked that dark grey on him.
I miss Gokû's F dougi even more; that dougi is incredibly fun to draw.
