That's not exactly a lie. According to the movies it is true, but it just can't fit in.

-Someone told me once that not only was there a secret "create-a-character" feature in Budokai 1, but you could also unlock SS(J)3 Goku.

-Dragon Ball AF

Lies I was told by various childrens magazines:

-Pan went SSJ in Super #17 Saga.

-Vegeta went SSJ3 in one of the Dragon Ball Z movies.

-Completely made up power levels, such as 180 million for SSJ Vegeta, and 100 million for Kid Buu and Vegeta. Basically a lot of nonsense for post Namek Power Levels. Although I remember one list that turned out to be pretty accurate.... maybe they actually got the information from the Daizenshuu.

I'm pretty sure that was in an issue of either K-zone or Mania, which I picked up for ten cents a few months ago, funny stuff.

The first person who explained the concept of the different Super Saiyan levels to me (at the time I had only seen the Funi dub of the Cell Games and wanted to know what the heck happened to Gohan) included Super Saiyan 5 in his explanation.

Yep, I'm pretty sure it was in one of those K-Zone question sections. The ones that posted that they knew nothing of Goku's mother every other month.

I once sent them a letter asking why Goten and Trunks didn't have tails. I didn't get published.

I remember Ben Clay's name being on those... was he the one giving those bogus answers? :P

I've probably mentioned this here before, but lies and rumors about DBZ were the big thing in school, I can't really remember them but they were wacky...

There was a turkish kid in my neighborhood too who said he'd seen the entire series back in Turkey, and one of the things he told us was that Bulma and Vegeta have a son together. Now everyone hated Bulma, and loved Vegeta, so it was like an insult to us Vegeta fanboys in primary school. So we though that the only true thing we'd heard about the future of the show was... bullshit...

From magazines;

- GT means "Great Touring"
Well I guess it's technically true...
- There is a GT manga
Suuure...
- Buu turned Gohan into chocolate.
- After Buu absorbed Gohan, who had turned into candy, Gotenks couldn't defeated him anymore and was absorbed as well.
Not all lies I guess. XD
- Ox-King and Roshi both trained under Gohan.
- Black was killed by #8 and Goku.
Partically true I suppose. ^^"
- "The Dragonball Warriors wanted to wish back Piccolo and his wife Kami back to life."

Just remembered another one I got from another website...

-When Goku and Vegeta fuse, they are called Gogeta, but when they are SSj4 and fuse, they turn into Gozeta.

Vegeto explodes upon reaching ssj7.
Cell is "Freeza combined with one of Dr. Wheelo's cells!"
(during the Cell saga) It takes SSJ4Goku to defeat Cell. (The same people, if I recall correctly, later accurately stated what actually happened... oh, a day before the episode heired on Toonami. XD. ).
Umm. Vegeto = Vegeta + Piccolo? Vegeta's son is named Yohan?
Dragonball GT starts with the Garlic Jr Sega?

The two that I remember are:

Gohan defeated Cell with one punch.

Bra had the special ability to control power levels.

I believed the "Japanese fans" when they claimed that DBZ is filled with sex scenes and cursing in like every word. Then I got the DVDs. Yeah, not so believable after that lol I didn't really care for the sex scenes or the cursing because I think that would be retarded, but it was a very strong rumor. Like:

"Did you see that episode of Dragon Ball Z where Trunks was talking to Son Gokou? America is so lame. They cut out Buruma and Bejita's sex scene!"

Heh, another one I think a lot of us who started off with the dub believed.

that reminds me of a lie this kid told me back when I was in the 5th grade(when DBZ was still fresh). He told me America cut out a scene where vegeta and bulma get married and Dr Brief Objects the marriage so vegeta blows his hand off...I cant believe I believed him(I was 11... )
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Well I was told there was a GT manga, and I HAVE seen one when I was like..8 or 9 while at a convention. Back then I didn't know about manga, so I thought it was normal..I don't know if it was a doujin or not, because it said "TOEI" and Nakazuru or something..It was the guy who did the art for the GT anime, I forgot his name..Anyway there were a couple of volumes, the one I read was the volume which had the first 5 episodes, ending with the fight with Lezick which was kind of drawn out more..It wasn't in Japanese either, someone confirmed to me back then that it was in Cantonese..So when people say there is no GT manga I get kind of confused..I think there IS a GT manga, it's just not..."official", kind of like those CoroCoro manga spin-off series.

I was told Black Shenlong was Yi Xing Long, which I didn't believe at first but it's logically true..

SSJ has 41 levels where Goku explodes at the very last one..

All of the Super5.com GT fansub episode titles lied to me.

Broly was Goku's brother, so was Tullece.

GT stands for "Grand Tour"(Dumbass FUNI, it's actually "Galaxy Touring").

A level known as Hyper Saiyajin existed.

Well it sort of is since it can't really even be considered canon because it doesn't fit in the timeline, plus they want us to believe that
