I like most the two tracks titled Koroshiyo Taopaipai? it's track 18. on DB bgm collection the second song is used in Z as well. Then I like most that victory like march from movie 1 Dragon Ball, it's on Daizenshuu disc 5 Shenlong no densetsu and it have 25 seconds. And this really rocks me, but it's unfortunately unreleased http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dM8HKOhURss
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel
PS5: Dynamixx88
Trust me, I'm millenial and a designer.

So far I have to say my fav Japanese DBZ BGM is that Trunks piece someone pointed to me in another thread. The one where Trunks kills Frieza. Only downside is it seems like that piece was edited into that scene rather than composed specifically.

Ah here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMYt9sGOcTU

It reminds me a lot of one of my fav soundtracks, the 1986 Transformers movie soundtrack.

Mine's changed. It's now "Setting Out". Epic.

I have a few favorites.

Battle Power Infinite of Monolith

Goku Kaio-Ken X3 vs Vegeta (don't know the name of this BGM)

SSJ2 Gohan vs Cell: (Forgive me if I had to use Gokuden's video as this is only place I can think of where to find Gohan vs Cell): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctyk2EC7 ... annel_page

Wait. On the SSJ2 Gohan video. That's an insert song. Not BGM.

One of my favorite BGMs is from Jinzouningen Machi E. It starts at around 2:30.

It first plays in the second episode of the Super Saiyan Goku vs. Frieza fight, and is remixed a lot throughout the series.

The one that first appears around the Fusion arc is what got me into the Japanese BGM years ago.

I would say this would be my most favorite BGM:

Then again, I think everything associated with Bardock is just absolutely epic.

Sounds to me like it first plays during Movie 2. This is the Possed Piccolo v. Son theme, as I remember.

Hyperbolic Time Chamber

Specifically the part that starts at 1:38
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Yeah, the beginning part is... but that isn't what I am discussing!

Mine from DBZ (Japanese):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckgEdyiOLpQ#t=0m32s
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmee_Rhwj1A#t=3m44s

DBZ (English):

Now, I don't watch the dub, but some of the music is great in a non-Dragon Ball sorta way.

A tought one, but I'd have to say Solid State Scouter. It really fits perfectly with the scene, and is completely listenable without it (I heard the song before I saw the Bardock special).

I really wish they would have made 1:38 onward its own track.

The one from where Gohan goes SSJ2 in Movie 9 (anybody know the name of it?).

All of them are from Kikuchi's score:

- "The 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai"
- "Son Goku's Counterattack"
- "The Fateful Confrontation! Goku and Piccolo"
- "Prologue & Subtitle I" (I blame the Daizenshuu EX podcast)
- "Dragon Ball Z" (from movie 1, I believe)
- "Ma ni ae!! Nanatsu no Dragon Ball" (Piccolo's theme)
- "Kaibutsu Freeza VS Densetsu no Super Saiyajin"
- "The Incredible Mightiest vs the Mightiest" (DBZ Movie 5 suite)
- "The Boy From The Future"
- "The Cell Game Causing Death"
- "Ginga Girigiri!! Bucchigiri Sugoi Yatsu" (Movie 9 Suite) (absolute favorite!)
- "Sayanora, Senshi-tachi"
- "Prologue & Subtitle II"
- "A New Hero Appears"

No BGM CDs for GT have ever been released, as far as I know, which is too bad, because some of that score is pretty good. Though I guess most of the best pieces were instrumentals of the theme songs.
Kentai wrote:Son Gokuu is a fascinating character anyway, because he is - at face value, anyway - an idiot savant. The victim of violent head trauma as an infant [...] he's a simple bumpkin with a fair share of brain damage who's natural talents to work out what's wrong compensate for his broad lack of common sense. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

While it's true that the 10th-anniversary movie soundtrack was the only GT BGM CD ever released, but you might want to check out the uploads on colonelsilver's YouTube channel. He and a couple other guys ripped the audio from the season sets, did a bit of splicing together, and made almost all of the music sound fantastic, devoid of voices and sound effects, and as close to CD-quality as we could ask for without an actual CD.
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.
