I wonder why you write "manga" in italic. Is that a personal thing or is that how you write it grammatically correct?
On the "kids jumping from buildings" note, kids jumped from buildings when they played Pokémon too, and that didn't lead to it's ban.
But I remember that Power Rangers got banned in Sweden, because two boys and a girl played Power Rangers and the boys beat her to death. It was all over the news.
Of course, they didn't cancel it because of censorship, they did it because of that they didn't want to get sued or to get their other shows banned or boycotted. And I think that it was the same deal in Hungary with Dragonball.
Because in reality, more children die from crossing or playing by railroads than watching anime. And more CEOs of television companies die by suicide from heavily dropped viewer rates than angry moms (I won't give any sources for my statistics, although they seem kinda logical).
When I was 15, a guy in my class read the Dragonball manga too, and the first time we spoke about it, I told him (when he asked me what I did in the weekend), that I competed in the Tenkaichi Budokai (I had seen him with a volume in his hand), and that I won it.
He called me a liar, and told me that I came 2nd place , because of that
he was the one that came 1st place.
Then he told be that he was trained by Goku, and I told him that I was trained by Piccolo.
But most of the time we spoke about the happenings in the latest volume. At that time it was still being released in Sweden.
lol. Now I remember, we always used to play fight DBZ in the playground when we were 5/6 lol, it wasn't as fun when you got punched in the face
