AB only had the rights to release the films here. There have been attempts by the UK companies to buy the license for the UK but... it's just too expensive for them. We aren't getting Dragon Ball here until Toei charges less and knowing them, that won't be any time soon.

You all do realise that if AB lose the French license, the other countries who sub-licensed it from them, such as Spain, would lose it too?

Where do you have the impression everything's been released in France? And honestly, there's every reason for other companies to release it again, as the AB releases are not perfect, and, Dragonball always sells in France.

Hm, I suppose nobody can pay for the license here in the Netherlands either, then. Shame. (But what version would we get anyway? :P)

Oh well, at least we're getting the kanzenban.
