Re: Dragon Ball Movies - AB Groupe English Dub / "Big Green" Dub
Y'know, if people are worried about uploading obscure versions of the dubs up here (like the AB Groupe/Westwood/Ocean dubs), maybe, maybe it would work out better if just the audio only was ripped and uploaded, so there won't be the video portion and it can't go against the OMG FULL EPISODEZ rule.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Thanks so much, linkdude. I'm downloading it now.
Re: Dragon Ball Movies - AB Groupe English Dub / "Big Green" Dub
Just for the record guys, linkdude told me the mods wouldn't mind, otherwise I wouldn't have done it. I was going to do Super Guy In The Galaxy, but Linkdude says it's been on DVD in other countries.
As far as movies go, I have them all done by this AB group, some of the DBZ ones have alright acting, DB ones suck, the GT one is terrible. Since neither me or Linkdude know what has/hasn't been on DVD apart from the DB movies that haven't, all I'm doing is the DB movies, unless someone can make a list of unreleased ones.
I have some stuff going on this week, so part 2 of Legend Of Shenron won't be here untill next tuesday. (Might be monday if monday morning goes smoothly.)
As far as the others go, I'll only be putting them up if it looks like people are genuinely intrested. I have some decent programs for turning them into MKVs and ripping them from my discs, but my editing program doesn't want to do it properly, so I need to get a better program, but thats the reason the ads are all still in the first part of the movie.
As far as the movie goes I just thought all the actors caught a cold when I was young.

1st time the show aired on CN I recorded to VCR, after that when it aired on some other channel (can't remember name) I recorded onto DVD, when it came on Toonami I'm not sure wether I went straight to dvd or used a PVNR method with my PC then put them to dvd to get the best quality.TestDemo wrote:HellooXdanXo wrote:Just for the record guys, linkdude told me the mods wouldn't mind, otherwise I wouldn't have done it. I see you have uploaded some of the AB group Dragonball movies, and you wanted to know which other ones to upload, as you have stated Dragonball Movies 1-3 have not been released to DVD so could you upload them please.
These are the movies released to DVD that should not need uploading:
Movie 1 - Super Battle in the World (= Movie 3)
Movie 2 - The Strongest Guy in the World (= Movie 2)
Movie 3 - Super Saiyan, Goku (= Movie 4)
Movie 4 - Super Rivals (= Movie 5)
Movie 5 - Fight! 10 Billion Power Warriors (= Movie 6)
Movie 6 - Super Battle of the Three Super Saiyans (= Movie 7)
Movie 7 - The Burning Battles (= Movie
Movie 8 - Super Guy in the Galaxy (= Movie 9)
Movie 9 - The Father of Goku (= TV Special 1 (Bardock))
Movie 10 - Gohan and Trunks (= TV Special 2 (Trunks))
Movie 11 - In Pursuit of Garlic (= Movie 1)
After that, apparently according to here movie 12 was done by AB group, if you have that could you please upload that please. Also if Movies 10-11 and 13 were dubbed/aired on Toonami could you upload them as well. The final AB group dubbbed movie was the DBGT TV special, could you upload that as well please. Thanks for your effort so far and I hope you continue to release these unavailable dubs. However I also have two questions, how did you record these, and secondly did you record any of the Ocean Group dub of DB, DBZ or DBGT? If you have could you please upload it, as the only recordings of those dubs available so far are low quality VHS rips.
When the specials and movies aired several times I recorded them all, most of them I have 3 or 4 copies of, since I had to get ready for school and everything I was pushed for time, so recorded them however my stuff was set up on that day.
As far as the series goes, yes I have all of it, although I'm sure one of the discs I used to store them on is damaged, mainly due to having little money that I didn't spend on games, dvds, toys, or weights when I was young, so I cheaped out getting Tesco discs
As far as the movies go I have them all, several times as stated above.
Shame as I still don't own the Cooler Double feature so all I can watch of cooler at the moment is the terrible AB group.
As I said before I only planned on doing "Super Guy In The Galaxy" but since that was already on DVD I did/ still am doing the first DB movie, I only planned on doing that and seeing if there was intrest in doing the second.
As far as the series goes, that's asking a fair bit, it's like 500 episodes.

Re: Dragon Ball Movies - AB Groupe English Dub / "Big Green" Dub
Well, IIRC, the DBZ 108-276 Ocean Dub and DBGT Blue Water dubs are floating around the internet, in bad quality, so you don't need to do those, if you don't wanna

Re: Dragon Ball Movies - AB Groupe English Dub / "Big Green" Dub
If need be one can use other video sources. I mixed Dragon Box and Funi single sources together on several Z 108+ eps as well as the first 7 movies.
Confirmation from my friend in Belgium, he has movies 1-9 + the 2 TV specials on Dutch R2 with this dub.

Re: Dragon Ball Movies - AB Groupe English Dub / "Big Green" Dub
To usotsuki Thanks for clearing that up.
I have them in great quality, but no one would want it if I upped my discs untoutched, as the entire "Legend of Shenron" takes 4.2GB, but once I'm done processing it & placing it in an MKV container it takes 250MB, no one wants to download 4.2GB just to see an old unreleased dub, that everyone sys sucks.Budogenkai wrote:Oh please release the Ocean Dub in D Box quality, I would squee.

What are you using to make your MKVs? And when will part 2 be up? I have just finished cropping the black bars off Part one, I'll upload a version without ads or the black bars if anyone wants itoXdanXo wrote:To usotsuki Thanks for clearing that up.I have them in great quality, but no one would want it if I upped my discs untoutched, as the entire "Legend of Shenron" takes 4.2GB, but once I'm done processing it & placing it in an MKV container it takes 250MB, no one wants to download 4.2GB just to see an old unreleased dub, that everyone sys sucks.Budogenkai wrote:Oh please release the Ocean Dub in D Box quality, I would squee.

Is the run time supposed to be 30:21? Not sure if I've done it right.
Thanks for this oXdanXo.

Re: Dragon Ball Movies - AB Groupe English Dub / "Big Green" Dub
Paradox295 It's not in 4:3 It's 16:9, the earlier recordings were 4:3, if you remove the bars you're changing the picture, you won't make it as the 4:3 version looks as thats how it was aired, you would be making your own 4:3 which looks odd.
As far as ads go I was going to clip them down to just the toonami ads (so no video was lost,) due to my program messing up though and Linkdude was desperate to see a part of it I decided to leave them all in for the first movie.
Steve thats the correct time, the final part will be up monday/tuesday of next week. Hopefully Monday noon UK time.
As far as what I use to make the MKVs, I use xilo, Megui, FFDshow, Avisynth, Haali, and a custom designed software.
If anyone has a preference of 16:9 or 4:3 I can put up either as I have them in both formats.
My preference is 16:9 movies and 4:3 episodes.

Re: Dragon Ball Movies - AB Groupe English Dub / "Big Green" Dub
I'd say you've cut some of the picture as well if you look at the clouds. Also, you took them at two different timings, so comparison wise they're irrelevant, if you display yours on a TV you might miss some of the picture, with mine if you use something like MKV2dvd or convertX the black lines will dissapear as they alter the range automatically.Paradox295 wrote:Here's a comparison

Also for everyone else just to let you know I plan on finishing off Legend Of Shenron on monday/Tuesday. Then as far as others go, if enough people are intrested I will carry on, if not I will stop.
If enough people want them then I could end up putting Movie 2 up on Wednesday, but only after/if I get another editing program.
To clear up the episodes (not movies) as far as I'm aware Pioneer did release some of them, so I'm not sure what I could put up of that. But I know Pioneer released some as I'm after one of their early releases to get the Rock The Dragon Opening. But still can't find one on the cheap.
