I Watched up to episode 4 so far, and I absolutely laughed when Goku said "Did a snake bite your wiener." when Bulma screamed in episode 1 when the pterodactyl got her. Makes me wish FUNi would have had him say that in the uncut dub. I also liked Oolong's fantasy about Bulma's bust size better in Japanese as while the dub was funny what Oolong said in the sub was even funnier. Kame Sennin was hilarious as well with his antics of getting Bulma to show him her panties when she really had none on.

My YouTube

Soppa Saiyjins from Dorgou Ballru Zetto is my favorite transformation everah, especially when Trounksoru did it in front of Seru and when Bejita did it when he faced Jingonigen-hachigo. But for real, I use the FUNi pronunciation. - Soppa Saia People

In the funi dub of the movie version of that scene , Bulma says "I want every single one of those mental pictures back!!"....best line of the entire flick.

I'm assuming you're referring to movie 4. I remember that dub had another hilarious line that was an unintentional double etendre. When Goku wakes up and sees Bulma spread out on the bed, his response is, if I recall, "That looks like a nice soft place to put my head." Yes, Goku... I'm sure it is.

In the middle of watching episode one right now; so far I'm enjoying it. I started with the English dub, but that lasted for about four minutes. That isn't to say I dislike the dub, but I wanted to stay consistent throughout the whole viewing experience and I decided I would avoid some of the more particularly painful moments later on. I could already feel it coming...

I'd also like to note, this is my first time watching the earliest episodes outside of the FIRST FUNIMATION DUB so I only know some of the dirtier jokes like Roshi asking to see Bulma's panties. I did watch the fourth movie but I don't remember it all that well. I particularly liked the line "I don't wanna touch your dirty butt." When Bulma tries to convince Goku to help her. I also noticed something that may just be coincidence, but the first Dragon Ball they go after is so many kilometers to the west. Eh, maybe it's just me.

Marathon Mode sure is convenient, I'm on the second episode now. Just remember, "When a girl says that, it obviously means she has to take a leak." Hehe, priceless.

EDIT: Yeah, that was not Harmony Gold...

I finished episode 8 a few hours ago. It seems like the dub did translate Rogafufuken right. Oolong is more pervy than in the dub. The highlight for me is the end of episode 8 when Oolong as Bulma convinces Kame-Sennin to pafu-pafu with "her". The whole scene was hilarious. As much as I love the dub I like the Japanese version's script a lot better.

The scene where Pilaf pulls the switch blade on that alligator wasn't in the FIRST FUNIMATION DUB to my recollection. It's also one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

I found it incredibly strange that there's an alligator just chilling out on Kame Sennin's island. The anime people were pretty eager to introduce Pilaf, weren't they?

As far as I remember (and I own all the original FUNimation-made, Kidmark-released dub tapes, and it's pretty much all I've ever seen of these early episodes), the switchblade-pulling is in that dub. I can't recall where those tapes are right now, so I can't check at the moment, though...

Hell, I think I'll give this a try. I meant to run through the series when I finally got the second DBox and cleared the hurdle of the dub-only dvds but my interest just... waned because the beginning of DB is so crude. Having a group might help barrel through it...

I'd love to join in too but finding time would be hard with course going on and I just finished watching Dragon Ball a while back. The next time I'll probably be marathoning the series is when I get Dragon Box Five.

Up to episode 12. I'll say this Nozawa is growing on me as Goku in fact all of the voices are pretty good here. Bulma flipping Pilaf off was funny as was Pilaf blowing a kiss to Bulma. Funniest part was in episode 12. Bulma: Son-kun, don't look at the moon! okay?! then Goku looks at the moon and everyone goes crazy.

Anyone else close to finishing all 14 episodes? Because I am officially done. Now I'm just waiting for the 18th to watch ep. 15.

I'll be watching it in English just because I hate reading TV shows & movies. If I wanted to read Dragon Ball, I'd turn to my manga.

I'm kind of late to this party as I haven't even started yet. In fact, I was actually watching all of my DBZ Bricks. I JUST started Season 6, though... I GUESS I could start over with DB.

I wanted to do this anyway at some point.
