I copied this a long time ago off a scan on (dbgt.com I think...) a website, can't find the original, but mines good enough.
Well, yeah, he said he drew it himself... ;)

I did didn't I?

I drew that long ago, I still like it though, I can draw better now.

Hm, manga or anime....tough choice. As some have said, the manga's a bit more convenient. If there's a certain scene I'd like to read, I can flip right to it without to much effort, but if there's a scene I'd like to watch in the anime, I have to go through the effort of putting in the DVD/tape and fastfowarding until I find what I'm looking for (okay, maybe it doesn't take a whole lot of effort, but it's still more than just flipping open a book!)

On the other hand, with an action series like DB, sometimes you really just want to see those pictures....well, in action. The fight scenes in the manga are pretty cool, but they seem to gain so much more when animated (and I'm already salivating thinking about finally watching the original Gokuu vs. Vegeta fight in all its uncut glory!) And there are occasional bits of filler that are damn funny (the driving lessons, oh my god!)

So, in conclusion, I like both :D

Only one option...flash manga!!1!1!

It was pretty neato, if you ask me. 8)

Thanks, I especially drew that page best (because of the gory part), Toriyama has a wild imagination, I like the eye popping out, and look, the Jr. Actually have brains!

Here's a more recent picture though.

I like that drawing. I perfer both. To me, the manga is good to have and read. The anime is good to watch. And to hear it.

It's copyed frame by frame off the original just to get a point accross, but anyways...

I still prefer the manga over the anime, but it is fun to see all the filler from time to time and enjoy seeing in animated with the voices.

Some friends of mine don't like to read manga, and so I recommend the anime...

The manga is my favorite comicbook series (America or Japan) period.

I would go as far as to say Dragonball #19 (Dragonball Z #3 in America), is one of the best comics I've ever read.

Did you fail in English or something? Unless you can read you'd have noticed I said I drew the picture long before this topic was created, I was simply posting it to get my point across as I couldn't find the original scan, but I didn't draw it for the sake of proving my point, so make sure you know what's what before you type shit.

I drew Gohan's face a bit sloppy, I can do it better now, that was ages ago, I stopped watching Dragonball Z for a while after and just started watching it again now, I just finished watched all the episodes, and I'm getting some japanese ones now to watch, Saiyan saga ones.

I've come to [usually] prefer the manga, but I still love the anime and think it's great. Love the seiyuu, animation style, and hell, I even like most of the filler.

Ahh...you've got 5 minutes before this planet explodes. And when I say 5 minutes, I mean a few hours.

I don't really prefer one over the other. I don't mind filler either.
I pretty much watched DBZ as an anime cause it was more convenient (I don't find myself in a comic shop often at ALL). Just right on TV every weekday.

However, before they started showing DB on TV, I did go out and buy collected versions from Viz / Shonen Jump.

Well, perhaps in Freeza's sense of time, 5 minutes are some hours to us

Kind of similar to the slow passage of time that happens in the DC and Marvel universes, huh?

Heck, it applies to a lot of pieces of fiction, and especially RPGs. XD Your friend might be about to die a horrible death, but rush or take all day, you'll still only arrive in the nick of time.
