No, this animated project came before Cross Epoch was created.

Funnily enough, Toriko and One Piece will be crossing over again for their April 14 episodes. :P
O ok. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

And I read that original Toriko/One Piece cross over. So an entirely new cross over will be appearing in anime form? How cool.

Well, we've already gotten an animated Toriko/One Piece cross over. This is another one I believe.

I haven't seen the animated version yet, but we get another one ehh, very cool. I guess I missed the first Dragon Ball and One Piece cross over. I must see it now!

I just gotta know, why isn't it licensed? Why does Toei have it locked up in a vault somewhere?

Do they understand the concept of fanboys with money wanting to buy DVDs? Or, at least, make Funi and other licensors money by watching the special online with ads?

It seems like a complete waste, I mean, this isn't something ultra-obscure, this is One Piece meets DBZ!

Funimation always wants to push more anime DVDs. Fanatical DBZ fans are their best revenue source- so why can't they make this happen?

Sean Schemmel is THE MAN! :)

Me- "Also, before anyone mentions it, Schemmel's interview was from nearly 15 years ago. He paid a brief visit to Kanzenshuu's forums a few years back and earned legendary respect that cancels out anything he said from that long ago. :D"

Most likely because it's something that's impossible to translate to a home release.

Do you think they don't know that? If they could they'd love to make money from it, but for one reason or another they can't.

It's a multi-screen experience with a big Shenlong head that appears above the audience. It doesn't really lend itself to a home release. It's kind of like asking why there isn't a home release of T2 3-D: Battle Across Time. That said, it didn't stop the Back to the Future bluray trilogy from including a huge segment on the Back to the Future ride...
If TPP passes in your country it will be illegal for you to watch an imported DVD. Click here to learn more!

Goku fighting Eneru?

I can't believe my eyes!
Gohan: At least he doesn't have his sword out anymore.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.

Why refuse to distribute/license it out when they could make some good money doing that? (is this something like "Studio Ghibli Museum's" animes that can only be viewed at the museum to encourage visitors or something?)
There's a couple of Dragon Ball / Z content that FUNimation could've licenced and released it already.

- Dragon Ball Z: Episode of Bardock
- Dragon Ball Z: The Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans
- Dragon Ball Z: The Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans
- Dragon Ball Z: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!!
- Dragon Ball: Special 1 - Goku's Traffic Safety
- Dragon Ball: Special 2 - Goku's Fire Brigade

Plus other stuff I've not listed.
There's a Cell saga "pure recap episode" that fansubber Ramza has somewhere. (it's really obscure)

Also, some of the J. movies came with stuff Funi didn't include. (notably, there's a some minor original animation in a shot of Brolly with his face obscured in a badass manner) (I think the J. movies basically come with their J. advertisements... there's also some minor stuff after the credits of Brolly that got cut, but I think it was like a several shot focus on the stars of the universe)

(note to self- Why do I even still know/remember all this ancient stuff?)
