Back then I used to play Street Fighter 2 a lot on SMD and loved it, guess during the years I eventually started to lose the skill of it.

You've obviously not played much of the budokai series if you think its easy to pull off combos. I suggest you try looking at the hardest cancels, most of them require a first frame cancel because there is not enough stun on the last command input you put in. And back dashing to ensure certain command inputs didn't get used up so you could lengthen your ground combos takes quite some practice to get right. Both the cancel system and back dashing elements can be arduous tasks to perform without a lot of practice.

Street Fighter hasn't really been dead, its been played at EVO and other competitive tournaments like the SOCAL Regionals.

I really didn't think it was that hard.
And whenever you can play as trunks with a laser sword, mystic gohan with 2 swords or a new form of Frieza you're getting playing time from me!
For me collecting the dragonballs in the tournament mode with that spinning prize wheel was exciting to see if you could get 2 or 3 at a time. The stimulus of getting new costumes and characters through wishes was good enough for me. That being said I think I never made it to the last fighter in the tournament mode. So yeah that IS pretty hard because you have to have some pretty perfect fights.

The fact that every character had an almost completely unique set of animations, together with awesome stages that oozed the dragonball atmosphere is another thing that kept drawing me back.

But yeah the graphics for the energy attacks were pretty crappy. Everything else was pure win for me!

I love Super DBZ, I remember when I first got it and played with my cousins. They complained because they said Budokai 3 was better. I forced them to play it with me anyway because I was really digging it. I'm an 80's kid too who cut fighting game teeth on Street Fighter and Street Fighter II, so the controls came very natural to me. I loved battling on Guardian's Lookout and kicking my opponent off the edge and all the way to the bottom where Bora and Upa live. That game was full of depth and win. I have two cousins who played it with me. One of them just kept getting agitated and insisting that we go back to Budokai 3. The other one kept fighting me, and complained about me always grabbing him with Piccolo and calling me cheap. I paused and told him not to let me do that then, find a move that counters it and stop me. He kept playing, silently practicing. He favored Trunks, and eventually discovered a dirty little sword combo that would counter Piccolo's grab move. The smile on his face was priceless, I could see the lightbulb go off, and he started to appreciate the game for the depth of gameplay, and quit being put off by the lack of flashy all out ultimate moves that his brother just couldn't or wouldn't take the time to get over.

I haven't played the game in years, simply because I have no one to play against anymore. If any game were a candidate for release on a new console with online play, I'd say Super DBZ would be one that could find a new audience that never gave it a chance a gaming generation ago. Super DBZ is a balanced fighting game that happens to have DBZ characters in it. It also has more manga influenced graphics and coloring schemes that is unique to it, as opposed to the Anime focused graphics and coloring in all other DBZ games.

Super DBZ is the diamond in the rough among a sea of over-saturated, over-sequelized DBZ titles.
"Of" =/= "Have"

Contractions:
-Should have = Should've
-Could have = Could've
-Would have = Would've

The heck does "should of" even mean anyway? Think about what those two words mean individually, and then try to read them back to back in a sentence and make sense of it. Are you forming a prepositional phrase, is "should" a part of a larger grouping, or are you just typing random words based on how you think you hear them used verbally? Perhaps take a moment to contemplate this, and see if it becomes as mind jarring for you to look at as it does for me..

A couple of months ago I gave my nephew a copy of Super DBZ for PS2, and today I've played it with him, regardless of the noob-crap, I managed to enjoy the game pressing random button and do Gohan's Masenko by following the commands.

Budokai Tenkaichi and Raging Blast games might actually be some fun when played with other people, online's a bit better but having a gamer next to you makes the experience better to enjoy. IMO.
