Signs of Goku's Saiyan Heritage
Re: Signs of Goku's Saiyan Heritage
I'd say he acted very Saiyan in the King Piccolo saga when he killed Tambourine in cold blood and said he deserved it. And I'm pretty sure he'd have killed King Piccolo in cold blood if he'd had the chance too. He was one cold-blooded badass back then.
Re: Signs of Goku's Saiyan Heritage
He DID kill Daimao in cold blood.

Define cold blooded because Goku was completely justified and in the right to kill Piccolo and his minions.
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

Killing someone without being emotionally effected by it. It doesn't mean not being justified or anything.

Re: Signs of Goku's Saiyan Heritage
I'm not sure if that really counts as cold blood though. Cold blood means killing someone who is no immediate threat to you but Goku's life was clearly in danger. It was basically kill or be killed though I have no doubt he would have killed him even if he wasn't still a threat.Saiga wrote:He DID kill Daimao in cold blood.
Re: Signs of Goku's Saiyan Heritage
Ah, does it? I thought it meant intentionally killing someone when you're not blinded by emotion.

I don't know about you guys but I definitely think Goku and Piccolo killed Raditz in cold-blood. All he wanted was to reunite with his little bro but Goku just rejects him. I mean, what did he do that was so wrong?

Oh, you know, only kidnapped Goku's son to try and force Goku into destroying the whole planet, killing everyone on it, including all of his loved ones. Just the usual...DBZAOTA482 wrote:I don't know about you guys but I definitely think Goku and Piccolo killed Raditz in cold-blood. Re: Signs of Goku's Saiyan Heritage
No, it generally means to kill without really having to. Piccolo Daimao was about to kill Goku, so Goku's killing blow wasn't in cold blood. Its almost the same difference as in between killing in self defense (or in war) and simple murder.Saiga wrote:Ah, does it? Re: Signs of Goku's Saiyan Heritage
Wasn't that after Goku told him to get lost and that they weren't related without second thoughts (he even threatens to beat him up if wanting to meet his nephew)? Raditz only told him to kill a bunch of people and show it to him if he wants his son alive. Re: Signs of Goku's Saiyan Heritage
The first thing that Raditz did was get mad at Goku for not killing all of the Earthlings. And then he knocked Krillin through a house. All this was before Goku told him to get lost.DBZAOTA482 wrote:Wasn't that after Goku told him to get lost and that they weren't related without second thoughts? Okay, wiping out all life on the planet, not destroy, but same point.DBZAOTA482 wrote:Wasn't that after Goku told him to get lost and that they weren't related without second thoughts (he even threatens to beat him up if wanting to meet his nephew)?
