ESF is not a story mode kinda game. Think of it like Zenkai Battle Royale in its early stages. It's a DBZ sim where you can only play against bots or other players online. The earlier releases have a small roster of the main heroes and villains. 1.2.3 has Goku, Piccolo, Gohan, Trunks, Vegeta, Krillin, Ginyu, Freeza, Android 18, Cell, Buu. There are expansion packs for one of the early releases with a huge roster with movie characters and fusions and all that.

This is a mod for Half-Life. It's still under development - you can download a beta version though (which is almost 9 years old).GogetaSSJ2 wrote:Is that game even complete yet? If so what's the roster looking like? Does it go from DBZ all the way to GT?Zeymah wrote:As someone has already mentioned, Earth's Special Forces is one of the possibilities. In my opinion it is really the only quality alternative to the console titles. The final version is still under development but it looks quite promising: http://youtu.be/v9gG9kitVkg

I remember hearing rumbles (or just rumors) way back before Budokai came out about the possibility of an "official" DBZ FPS game coming out for PC. I can't imagine a 12-year-old rumor having much weight, but there you have it.

Thanos before Thanos was cool.

That wasn't a rumor:Thanos wrote:I remember hearing rumbles (or just rumors) way back before Budokai came out about the possibility of an "official" DBZ FPS game coming out for PC. I can't imagine a 12-year-old rumor having much weight, but there you have it.

CFinally, the PC will have a Dragon Ball Z game, too. Rinde isn't saying much about it except the game will be a first-person action game and that it is scheduled for release in time for the holidays at the end of the year. Rinde, though, hints that "we [Infogrames] will be utilizing a proven 3D action engine" to run the game. Quake? Lithtech? It's all conjecture, but Infogrames does publish PC games based on the Unreal engine.
This was during the time Infogrames would send C&Ds to fan games, which indicated they were serious about it.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

I remember reading that years ago. I also remember around that time, they had a DBZ game plan for the original Xbox as well.

Wasn't Dragon Ball Online back then rumored to be on both PC and Xbox 360? It would be fun to play this game on a console. Oh well =(Hellspawn28 wrote:I remember reading that years ago. I also remember around that time, they had a DBZ game plan for the original Xbox as well.
