My idea as to how Future Trunks turned out

I thought the manga events being canon is common sense.

The manga doesn't explain everything and leave gaps that filler can fill in when needed. Such as Gohan's training.

A lot of things aren't confirmed. I guess ki doesn't have an explanation and is just there for no reason.

See id have thought Trunks would spend his life rebuilding his shattered world with his mother like he already was doing when he dealt with Cell in his own timeline. I'm sure restoring earth is gonna take a few years and seeing as he was so diehard determined to restore his world, I think its safe to say hed be busy with that. May find a woman but I doubt it would be Videl, seeing as we hear nothing about Mr. Satan in his timeline so I think its safe to assume he and his daughter are dead.

Since Trunks is busy rebuilding the future (which I said would happen), he'd pay attention less to his hair and allow it grow out, both on his head and face. It's not confirmed if Mr. Satan or Videl were killed, so making them alive wouldn't create inconsistencies.

Trunks would basically look like this, except with a beard:

Rebuilding a planet isn't the same thing, dude. When men are devoting so much time to their work, they often grow out their beards and hair. Trunks is busy devoting a bunch of time to rebuilding the future (and training), so he'd pay less attention to his hair.

You do know hes not doing it by himself right? If anything his mother and Capsule Corp are doing it because they have the knowledge and tech. Trunks pretty much just removed the factor that kept humanity from rebuilding itself, that factor being the androids.

Picture it this way. The world is a road under construction, humanity is the construction crew, and the Androids are..lets say a fallen tree blocking the way. Trunks just got rid of the tree, allowing humanity to finish up the road.

Trunks took the time to get a haircut when he went back to his time after warning Goku and the others, and that was while the Androids were still destroying everything. Otherwise, he'd look like he did when he came out of the ROSAT.
If he took care of his appearance during armageddon, why wouldn't he during peacetime?
