There's a few tracks in there that I think are great and very memorable, but a lot of it is kind of "filler music", that leaves no impression.
This, entirely. Going through Dark Prince's linked list, Dark Half, Lost Courage, Mind Space, Lonesome Wild, and Awake seem to be the five I associate with the game.
For me, if I could remember five tracks, I'd say the OST was doing pretty damn well. 90% of video game OSTs I can barely remember one or two.
Oh, absolutely. Further diluted by Lost Courage and Dark Half being the only ones I could actually name off-hand.

Just like Dragon Ball since Chapter #4.

I wasn't so much referring to being able to name certain tracks as being able to remember key parts of them. Also, BT2 gives you the option of choosing the track you want for multiplayer matches, and there you can see the name of each track. But most fighters (or at least the ones I've played, which does include a lot of the major ones) don't. I wonder why.

That's one of my favorite parts about Dissidia Final Fantasy. So many options for background music.

Tekken has individual themes for each stage, I believe, and Smash Bros randomly picks from certain themes for each stage, but you can select which ones it chooses from.

Though I do resent it slightly for replacing the original, glorious score, it really is probably the best thing I could've asked for without actually being Kikuchi's work. One of the things that really pumped me up for this game back in '06 was watching the GameTrailers... trailers for this game and getting so hyped for it, one of the key reasons being the music I heard:

BT3's soundtrack is definitely not nearly as good, but I enjoy it. Very repetitive at times but it has some good tracks.

I really, really don't like this soundtrack. Putting it in RB2 as a replacement score makes it nearly unplayable.

Great fucking soundtrack
And anyone who says it's bad has no idea what they're talking about...and these are probably the same people who like Yamamoto's terrible "score" for Kai and the Budokai Games or other garbage like that

I remember back in the day getting pissed off about the International Version of BT2 not having the Japanese Soundtrack but the soundtrack grew on me and nowadays that I'm older I notice how fucking good the soundtrack of this game was(still would have been nice to give us an option for both 8) )

It's a shame this is a DBZ Game and this is why this soundtrack is underrated
If this soundtrack was in a game like Tekken or something you would see this soundtrack getting praised as one of the best soundtracks of Last Gen

I wonder why they didn't hire the BT2 Team for RB and later games?

Budokai Tenkaichi 3's soundtrack was a lot weaker by comparison but it had a good track here and there

Some copies of RB2 use at least parts of the BT2 score. I don't know anything else about it, but I know my copy has it.

The newer copies all have Tenkaichi 2's score because it was done in an effort to eliminate all of Yamamoto's score from the market, so for those hunting the original 2010 prints they'll just have to either ask the seller or try their luck buying a used copy. If they go for the Limited Edition (not worth it) then that's guaranteed to have Yamamoto's soundtrack.

Love it.

A lot better than BT3's and following. Perhaps even better than the Budokai trilogy. My favorite tracks being Jungle, Mind Space, Heavy Gear, Granulated Oblivion, and Little Light.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

I love the BT2 English soundtrack. Every track has that distinctive big action DBZ battle feel to it. But Lost Courage is just pure awesomeness. Sky Is In Our Hands is also a really damn good track.
