Before I left in August. I made rules for threads like this. The point of these are for people to say something nice about a character. 200% positive. It's to not be negative at all. If needed I'll provide you the original thread in which I made these appreciation thread rules. So if you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all. It ruins the purpose of these topics. So in the future if you dislike a character. Do not click a thread that's for appreciation of the character. I don't see what's wrong with him.
He lives way outside of the cosmos, was relegated to his position of grand seniority out of necessity, and has to pull the weight of what 5 people normally do (or 3 if you want to accept Toriyama's retcon, hardly changes much).
His misunderstanding of how truly stupid the Saiyans would be, how irrationally frightened he is when dealing with people related to Buu, etc all makes perfect sense. He's just a regular guy, with regular emotional problems - only he has the weight of all existence on his shoulders.
