In GT, they used him as a plot device to get Goku out of Hell and had Piccolo stay in Hell forever. Having Piccolo in live in Hell forever is a bad way to end his legacy in my opinion.
It seems way more fitting. I'm sure Piccolo still has certain feelings of atonement and probably would really enjoy spending eternity dealing out justice. I imagine he would get pretty bored anywhere else in the afterlife except for maybe working with Yama, which he technically is doing but on a higher management scale.
Agreed. Piccolo in heaven would be bored out of his mind. Him being in hell is perfect. Being the guy to keep hell in check is great. Having him "die" and have absolutely no real affect on anything is much worse. He could have not died in Super, and not a god damn thing would be different.
Piccolo would not be bored in heaven since he is still friends with King Kai and could have easily live with him on the Grand Kai planet to train with the other fighters. I would take that him over him being in Hell forever. Hell does not need someone to take care of other bad people when Yama has been known to send Pikkon down there before to stop things before they get bad.

^ Do you seriously not remember how annoyed Piccolo was with being at King Kai's??? He would never live or train there again in a million years especially since he has far surpassed anything King Kai could teach him.

He meant Dai Kaio's planet, with all the dead fighters. That's much better than Hell and Hell wouldn't even need Piccolo in canon world, because nobody there keeps their body.

Both Goku and Vegeta died 2 times.
Everyone at least once.
Unless you're Mr Satan.
Chiaotzu died 4 times:

- Piccolo
- Suicide
- Kid Buu
- Freeza

Also, freeza killed satan.
That Freeza kill is kinda silly to count...

Yeah Piccolo would be fine with there, but he seems to enjoy having a job and role as a guardian or protector like Kami. Besides its not like he cant go visit these places when ever he wants.

Kami wasn't a guardian or protector.
He was a God of Earth. Kami means God.

Him being in hell forever was something even HE enjoyed. Spending a life keeping hell in check is much better than spending a boring life in the uneventful heaven where nothing ever happens. Training in heaven with no cause would bore him. Fits even more with his former demon king self, and how the former demon king, is fighting against those in hell. He's not even the least bit upset about being in hell either. The only dumb thing is for some reason Pikkon can go back and forth, as well as Goku, but not Piccolo. That's just stupid.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Kami is God of Nature true but considering he's a superior being he's also got to be a guardian and a protector in some way instead of letting everything go berserk. Beerus is a God of Destruction and even He defended Earth from being annihilated.

This is more of a dub thing where Kami is said to be guardian of Earth. He's not. He's literally God.

You're correct but even though he's a God he's also those other things too.

I don't really count the deaths from the earth blowing up in Resurrection F as proper deaths to add to a death count, mainly because Whis reversed time so that it didn't happen. Counting that death would be like counting the deaths of the characters in Future Trunk's timeline as a death, in fact it's even worse than that because those deaths still happened just in a different timeline whereas the RF deaths were erased from time.

Also if we think of Piccolo as the nameless Namekian then lets count how many times the son of Katats has died:
First Goku killed him as Piccolo Daimao
Then Nappa killed Piccolo and got a DOUBLE KILL with Kami-sama also dying
After that the nameless Namekian is born again but later killed by Kid Boo blowing up the Earth

So depending on if you think Piccolo and Kami-sama dying at the same time counts as 1 death or 2 the nameless Namekian has died either 3 or 4 times. However this is just from the manga/DB & DBZ anime, I personally don't count the DBS version of the BoG and RF stories as the 'proper' versions over the movies but you can add another death to Piccolo if you do count them also you can add another death to Piccolo if you look at GT. Bringing his death count to a maximum of 5 and a minimum of 3.
