They really should have yamcha being killed by black. Just to build up tension. We know he is going to be brought back anyways. In that way he'll at least do something.

It's a damn shame that dying is the only thing he could do at this point.

I'd say he lost all relevance prior to the Saiyan arc.
He was relevant in gauging someone's strength.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

He died already what more do you want him to do lol.
Anyway, I think the weaker characters in Super are eventually going to be replaced by universe 6 tournament contenders.

I dont see how they are comparable. Yamcha was always the weakest fighter in the group. Gohan is currently third strongest.

They share the same job to lose to make the upcoming person look good. Being the benchmark/gauging character. Also I wouldn't put him at third. He's arguably 5th or even lower than that without even including the other universe to lower that rank.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Sadly, as much as I'd hate for it to happen, this is already the case with the "weak" characters being replaced. :(
They cut their faces out of view in the U6 tournament and will likely do the same in the next tournament and they hardly ever hire Furuya, Midorikawa and Emori to play those three characters most of the time in Super.

I'm actually predicting that somehow the Saibaiman death pose will be shown for laughs and fanservice (even if it's a random civilian in the crater)...I know I will hate that scene.

I know that this is all inevitable but this actually makes me very sad.
Wishes she can change her name to YamchaFan (her name everywhere else)

Let's break it down:
Is Yamcha Goku? No
Is Yamcha a super saiyan? No
Does Yamcha have god ki? No
Is Yamcha an antagonist? No
Do the writers have a shred of respect for him? No

By the criteria the peaking order is Goku>>Vegeta>>Gods>>Antagonist>>>>>Saiyans without God ki>Bluma>Piccolo> humans> Yamcha.

Jaco - a character who's new to the franchise (especially to people who haven't read the cancerous Minus manga), gets more shine than Yamcha - a character that's been here since the beginning.

Jaco can do more and new gags. Yamcha wasn't comical since the start, strip out the efforts to fight and you'll left with... oh well, nothing to use.
I learned english listening to songs. So I don't know anything about. The day you had to learn play piano by just listening .mp3, you'll understand.

Minus is just a bonus chapter in Jaco the Galactic Patrolman that didn't even come out until a year after Jaco finished. You can read the entire manga without even looking at Minus since the chapter is tacked onto the end. If you're going to mock Minus, at least get the facts straight.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

That doesn't change the fact that it's a part of the story. Its entirety was completely uninteresting.

Yamcha's last cool moment was his spirit ball scene in "Yo Son Goku and Friends Return". Loved that bit.

Yamcha could easily be put into the spotlight as with any character, but it seems no one wants to. Why? I dunno. Toriyama only cares about Goku and Vegeta nowadays even though in Super they are absolutely annoying. Goku is now stupid to an extreme, even more so than when he was an actual child, and doesn't seem to give a single fuck about his friends anymore, and Vegeta has reverted back in development and now acts like a total asshole, with only small bits of his developed personality. (Such as that scene where he jumped in front of Trunks in that shitty filler arc)

Basically we're lucky if we ever hear Yamcha speak again.

I disagree. I think Bulma is much farther ahead of Saiyans without god ki in terms of relevancy. At least she has notable scenes and accomplishments in Super. The only ones the saiyans got were them trying to fight but just embarrassing themselves.
