I'm not kidding you, in any episode, if Goku fires 10 energy blasts, you'll hear Mr. Schemmel making exactly 10 grunts in a row. If not 12. And this problem with grunting had continued, from the season 3 till the very last episode of DBZ. Also, pretty much all the FUNi VAs, who were involved in the English dub of DBZ, had this problem with grunting as well.
Kiais are important in many martial arts styles. I always felt they were reflecting that.

I'm gonna write these down while I listen...

Ian Corbett
Not bad. Sounds somewhat a bit similar to Schemmel's voice.

Peter Kelamis
Okay... the first part sounds like a (what Bilis said) "surfer dude" accent. The normal speaking voice is... well, the first part sounds like Schemmel's while later on... Should I say "surfer dude" accent? The scream is... like Nozawa's voice but not exactly the same.

Sean Schemmel
To be honest, I'm more use to this voice as I mostly hear it. It doesn't sound to bad and the scream is not bad.

Kirby Morrow
That scream made me laugh, no really. Sorry Morrow! The speaking SS3 voice.... sounds like a cross be the "He-Goku" and Schemmel's. Normal speaking voice sounds like Schemmel's.

Unknown Voice Actor of UK Dub
... ... ... Deep and low voice, really unfitting. And by the way he said "Come, Magic Cloud," he could've made it sound like he's shouting. And this part cracked me up: "Uuuuuuuurrrrrryyyyyyaaaaaa!!!!!"

Unknown Voice Actor (Bandai Game)
Whoa, crud! Sounds like some guy's voice. Should I say it sounds like another "surfer dude" or something?

Unknown Malaysian Dub
Holy... Although it didn't sound too bad. And Vegeta is called "Beta"? The Malaysian dub could've just say "Fusion" rather than "combine bodies." Am I wrong or does each English dub has Vegeta sounding (at least trying to sound like) like FUNimation's Vegeta?

Well, that should be it for this post. I'll edit if necessary and possible.

That UK VA was just horrible, I don't think anyone can dowj Schemmel after hearing that one anymore.

Nice job

Goku: I have one way...to beat this thing.

Vegeta: eh? Wazzat?

Plus, his Kaioken was pronounced perfectly (in the movies), and he was the first English Goku I ever heard, cuz I started watching DBZ during the Namek arc.

Mr. Corlett does a good job with Goku's normal speaking voice, but he never could scream all that great. His screams sounded rather forced and low compared to the others. Of course, this is just my opinion.
I have to agree with you on this. I liked that Peter Kelamis was able to sound somewhat similar to Nozawa without going overboard.
COME MAGIC CLOUD!
Uhh...yeah.....That He-Man Goku

Yes, but a "Kiai" is concidered a move that pushes away an opponent by a yell of some sort (or at least in the Dragon Ball manga anyway). I felt that, like Boxer Gloves mentioned, there was much excessive grunting. I also feel that there's a difference between grunting & doing a "Kiai" yell, but again this is just all my opinion. I could be wrong.

Is it just me, or does that Malaysian dub sound like they used the same voice actor for Goku AND Vegeta? Moreover, why does it sound less professional then even some flash animation voice acting?

Heh, I can't really see why you americans are always knocking the UK He-Man Goku. Sure, he sucks, but all the other english voices in this clip were almost as bad. There was only a single scene where Goku sounded even remotely like Goku, and that was Kelamis doing the Kaiouken.
Hm, I should throw up a sound clip of Norwegian Goku some day, he's worse than all these guys.

...and Malaysian Vegeta scares me.

Kirby Morrow.

He makes a great older Goku, IMHO.

Wow. Goku's a dork. I get a kick out of Vegeta's 'engrish,' though.

Years ago, I remember watching Goku in a movie 5 and 6 fandub. Are they in this video or do they count?

That wasn't a fandub, it was a double feature of movies 5 and 6 in the Philippines. If I could find my VHS of it, I would make some clips.

Lol, Malasian and UK He-Man Goku made me laugh so hard

I'm totally going to make a ring-tone or something fun out of He-Man Goku. He's my new favorite Goku.

"Come magic cloud." and the unintentionally humorous malaysian dub really cracked me up.

Mr. Kelamis's scream was excellent in its Nozawa-ness. X3

Kelamis is close, but my favourite English Goku will always be Sean Schemmel. The way he screams, it actually sounds like a scream. Take the "Dragon Fiiiiiiirreee!!!!" (or the "Dragon Fiiist!!" from Budokai 3) as a great example. Ian Corlett nailed the happy-go-lucky side of Goku, but his screams didn't sound as believable as Schemmel or Kelamis.

And then there's He-Goku... *dies*

"Combine our body?"

I was always more of a Peter Kelamis fan, but for the pure fact that Sean Schemmel has been there longer he's just stuck in my mind as "FUNImation Goku." Neither good nor bad, just "FUNImation Goku."

He-Goku is made of win. Plain and simple.

I've always been a fan of Peter Kelamis (love the Nozawa screams!), and Schemmel has kind of grown on me. He-man Goku was pretty sad but, the Malaysian dub was hilarious.
