Bardock special when Bardock goes to give Freeza his all, but is destroyed easily by Freeza and when he is fighting off all of Freezas guards and doing so well against them, it just seems like such a waste that with one attack Freeza took out so much.

Though I haven't watched the uncut, they were still pretty good eps. I think they left in Bora getting speared as well not showing something else.
Well by original I actually meant the Japanese, because of better script and fitting voices.

The way Kulilin died by Freezer was really cruel...

Humpski and The S have the saddest moment, without a doubt - despite it being from GT.

The entire Goku vs Ma Junior fight at the end of Dragonball. I kept on thinking, am I sure this is Dragonball? The whole fight is such a bloody mess its like something out of Kill Bill.

I've always referred to that scene as a "diamond in the rough" for GT, if you will... a genuine scene you'd think to see in the manga. It proved Juunanagou really did love Kurilin.

The sad part about that scene is I was introduced to it via fansub along with most of the Super 17 saga. Seeing how that's how I was it initially, I'm used to the "Fine be that way, bitch" dialog so it isn't as touching as the original..Piccolo's death in GT was pretty sad though. And the fact that Pan didn't die was pretty sad as well.. :(

Don't you mean Juuhachigou? :P

"Darkest" moment doesen't necessarily have to be the saddest moment. There are many parts of Dragonball through to GT that fit the bill. Though come to think of it I think the darkest moment was of course the genocide of the Namekians during the Freeza saga. Though a single moment would be the death of Dende's "brother" Scargo and his elder Moori. I mean imagine seeing your family murdered in front of you. I agree with everyone else who chose this moment. That's evil...

Then again there are many moments that come to mind most of which have been mentioned. In second place for me would be Goku's death at the beginning of Dragonball Z. When I first saw it I was thinking "oh crap, what now!?". Of course I had a feeling he'd be back... 8)

Probably for me when Kurririn was uh... (has difficulty finding word) spiked? uh... horned? Wait I got one! Scewered by Freeza, with him licking the blood an' all, kind of a dark scene.

My second was when 18 was absorbed. When I was first watching it as a wee lad of 11, I was practically crapping myself saying to myself: Oh shit, Oh shit, Oh shit. Cell's transforming!

When cell arrived during the piccolo/17 fight, there was a scene were you could see all the trapped souls cell absorbed.I think they appeared in the aura coming from out of cell , they were groaning and you could see distorted tourmented faces.

Whoaa... I heard about that, once, but I'd forgotten all about it. Someone post a screencap!
